I can also teach reed making and reed adjustment.

Hey! Thanks for landing on this description, I'm excited for your fun journey ahead! My violin lessons tend to focus on fun; I like to keep my lessons conversational and personal. I focus the learning material around things you like, some students have learned the latest Billie Eillish songs, and other beginners have learned the chorus of "Take Me Home, Country Roads".
However, just because the class is fun, does not mean that we do not strive for perfection. Violin is hard! I will give strict feedback in a positive and growth-mentality environment. This course focuses utilizes the Essential Elements & Suzuki lesson books.

Music Therapy from University of Iowa
I love playing guitar! I teach beginning to intermediate guitar. I like to make the lessons fun and interactive. Playing along with the students. Fun classic children's songs for younger students. If the student enjoys singing I encourage them to sing along when they feel comfortable. I sing and play guitar so I'm comfortable with singing along with student or singing on my own. I can also help the student to sing along with guitar. I adapt the lessons to meet the individual needs for each student.

Heather is a wonderful teacher. My daughter looks forward and enjoys seeing her each week. She is very knowledgeable, and makes it easy for a child to learn and understand the guitar. It has been so convenient having her come to the house.

Paul really got me into playing the guitar. I was disinterested when I first started but he encouraged me to stick with it and to keep practicing. When i got over being a beginner, we got more advanced and learned theory and I took lessons with him until I went away for college where I ended up majoring in music. I highly recommend Paul, even if you're just looking to play some songs and have fun!"
