Lisa is amazing at teaching. I was looking for singing lessons since a friend of mine asked to sing at her wedding and I am grateful I found Lisa. She has help me with the song, gave me vocal and breathing techniques to reach high tones and even fix the guitar tablatures to match my voice to play it at the wedding. I will keep taking more lessons!!

Rachel knows her stuff but I felt like she was rushing our lessons or cutting them short for the next student. The lessons were also generic and all we did was warm-ups. She'd promise we'd get to the song next time but we never got through the entire thing after five lessons and there was no progression.

Piano lessons with Rachel were a gift from a friend and it has been one of the best gifts I’ve ever received. From day one I knew I had the right teacher because of how she responded to all of my questions of “why”. She appreciates and feeds off of my curiosity which in turn nourishes and excites me. She explains the theory and why music works the way it does. We’ve even dabbled into voice a bit. Continuing piano lessons with her has been the best thing I’ve done this year and I’m looking forward to many more lessons.

Rachel is an outstanding piano teacher -- especially for adult students.

As an exceptional teacher, she knows exactly how to motivate a student by making the subject both fun and rewarding. She knows music theory so extensively that her lessons are more than simply about playing keys on the piano. My understanding of the piano is so much richer because she presents every lesson in the context of theory.

Rachel is particularly adept in tailoring a piano program around the student's interests and learning style. This has made the lessons fun as I quickly learned to play songs that interest me.

I would recommend Rachel for any student -- young or mature -- who is interested in learning to play the piano as a lifetime skill.

About Richard
I always wanted to play the violin when I was young, but the opportunity was absent because our family moved to different places. During my middle school, I had an opportunity to borrow a violin from school. Without knowing the fundamental during my early stages, I was breaking the strings while strumming the violin like a guitar. Therefore, I opted to take private lessons. After practicing the violin productively, I was able to join the Jr. Philharmonic Orchestra of CA. I played with the group for 5 years. I also joined other community orchestras such as: Bellflower Symphony, Los Angeles Valley College Symphony, Manassas Symphony, and Washington Sinfonietta. I like to visit Interlochen and Curtis Summerfest to play chamber music with other musicians.
My notable teachers include: Ricardo Cyncynates, Rochelle Abramson, and Guido Lamell.

Music is a universal language and it should be integrated into our lives! Don't hesitate to contact me to schedule your lesson.
