The best part of what I do is seeing your face as you make the connections between what you knew and the information we shared in class that day. It is exciting! The greatest part of the classes is the awesome things we find out!!! 

We use lots of methods in the classroom. We have fun learning. We might use pictures, videos, experiments, research weird topics, and create models, or do 3-D drawings. I use every kind of learning you can think of and maybe a few you may not know! What? 

Science is fascinating and it is never ending and  always changing.. We are curious aren't we! It's learning how your world works.  The world we think we know and what we think we know about it changes. What is the new answer??? Let's find out together. What do you say???

I specialize in STEM classes in Science at middle school, high school and technical college levels. I also tutor for Exit entrance and exams for High School and College. STEM Science subjects like Biology /Life Science, Physical Science, Astronomy, Earth Science, Geology, Ecology. 

FOR TUTORING or full CLASSES, please let me  to select the know what you need, what your goals are and how long we have to achieve. We don't do miracles but we do enjoy ourselves as we learn.  



I offer: 
1) Tutoring  on an as need basis or regularly depending on the goal of the student. 30-90 minutes as you prefer.
     If you prefer to complete an entire subject as a review or personal interest class, you can choose by  semester or year. Semester classes will last 18 classes. It takes 36 classes to complete a year study program in each subject. 60 minutes/class, typically 1 or 2 classes per week;

2) Small-group classes of no more than 5 students - same as above; 

3) Personal enrichment or Continuing Education Classes, purchase 5 week increments. 30-90 minutes/ class. These would include catching up on a subject, study skills, research/ term paper tutoring, project building, exam preparation, introduction to a semester subject class (18 classes in total length).
All classes can be taught in intermediate level American Sign Language (ASL).

With a bachelors degree in biology, I have studied a large majority of the natural sciences. I taught high school biology at Tippecanoe Valley High School and had the privilege to inspire the next generation of scientific minds. I currently tutor several college students in their more advanced classes, as well as high school students.

Benjamin is a celebrity vocal coach and has helped singers reach the highest levels in the music business.  He has extensively studied the art and mechanics of singing. He has a Master's degree in Vocal Performance from the Chicago College of Performing Arts, and a Biology degree (which enabled him to study the anatomy of the voice).  Benjamin is the founder of BAWS Studio, a studio that has mentored and trained artists to have a career in singing. 

He has worked for several recording studios and loves to help singers write, record, and cultivate their artistic voice. He works with singers of all genre and cares deeply about authenticity, originality, and technique. His students have received billions of streams, sold out world tours, been finalist on The Voice, won pageants, performed on Broadway, receive full-ride scholarships to study music, been in the Top 10 Billboard charts, and received record and publishing deals.

*** Lesson Details ***

There are 3 stages to developing an artist. 

Stage 1, we will work to build the voice much like an athlete and personal trainer. We will work on strengthening your posture, develop the correct inhalation/exhalation of air, proper formation of the vocal tract (lips, tongue, jaw, throat), and develop a clear resonant phonation.

Stage 2, the student will begin learning how to learn music. We will study rhythm, diction, vowels, style, and musicianship. In this stage the student will have the opportunity to learn a variety of genres and experiment with different types of music.

Stage 3, we start to find your artistic footing. We develop a unique and personal style to their sound. We begin to think about what you want to say and how you want the audience to feel when you sing. We will find your "It Factor" that will set you apart from anyone else, and give you the freedom to fully express yourself through music. 


Kyle has been doing a great job working with my daughter after just 2 lessons her grade jumped 20 points! He explains things in a way she will understand and challenges her to find the answers on her own. Kyle is extremely patient with her 12 year old personality and allows her to express herself but he also knows how to get her back on task. I highly recommend Kyle as your next tutor.

Kyle has been patient and kind as he has worked with my daughter in math and science, often explaining things many different ways until she is able to understand.  I highly recommend him.

Kyle helped me a lot with a Physical Science class I was taking where the chemistry section was killing me! He's very patient when you don't understand a concept right away, and he comes up with new ways to explain a concept to give you another chance at understanding. And he definitely knows his stuff! Hey! My name is Kyle. I'm a medical student attending the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX. I love learning and getting to experience lots of different things! My favorite thing is music and for that reason I entered BYU as a music major originally, but ended up getting my degree in neuroscience with the vision of becoming a surgeon later on (but music is still my #1 favorite hobby!). I lived for a couple years in Guadalajara, Mexico as a Christian missionary and so I'm also bilingual and very familiar with Mexican culture. I started working as a private tutor in September 2011 and I have had lots of opportunities to work with youth while I've been in various leadership positions! I love teaching and I'm excited to get to know each of you!

We will discover every different type of life. Do you think you have seen all the types of life there is on this planet??? Wait until we start learning!! There are types of organisms (plants, animals and OTHER things) that live in the frozen north, volcanic vents and geysers, the remotes jungle, the bottom of the deepest ocean trench, and your back yard that you have never seen. We will get to know them and the ones that may feed them, help them or kill them. We will learn how what we do impacts them. Why they can't they live just anywhere the way humans do? We shall see.

Science never ceases to amaze me. I want my students to feel the same way. I bring it alive and applicable to each and every student no matter their academic level. 

Some students need a state curriculum class, some need to catch up on specific subjects that may be unclear, or study for tests. Some students may need help changing from middle school to high school, or maybe to get ahead in a subject. Other students may need help figuring out how to study best for them or maybe a special focus class like doing a research paper or a presentation. The possibilities are endless.

We are thrilled to have found Curtis to tutor my teenage son in chemistry. He is incredibly smart and an excellent teacher while at the same time relatable and patient.
