I do not typically provide any equipment - but I am willing to select and purchase books for the students to learn from (cost of books to be reimbursed by the student/parent) when requested to do so.

I am also willing to provide stick-on note-names for the keyboard, for young children.

The students must have their own instruments, and provide a folder for sheet music and notes/instructions.

*** Specialties ***
Guitar, I specialize in the following styles: jazz, rock, blues, folk, bluegrass, and children's songs.
Piano: I prefer electronic keyboard to acoustic piano, but am happy to teach beginning students on a regular piano as well. I teach note-reading, playing by ear, and theory, with en emphasis on rock, pop, and folk music. I include arranging, chord theory, and use of the many features of an elec
tronic keyboard, in the lessons.
Bass Guitar: I teach rock, pop, funk, and country music on bass.
Banjo: I teach bluegrass, country, and some blues and rock music. I can also teach a bit of old-timey frailing/clawhammer style.

I signed up for singing lesson on a whim. Sara was great; very patience and knowledgeable. Please take in consideration, I have no music or instrument background so we worked on breathing and body position which she made fun then at the end of each lesson we sang a song or two. After each lesson, I left with new knowledge and one or two thing to work on that week. For a spur of a moment decision, I obtain a new understanding of music, singing, and met a wonderful creative lady. Good Experience all around.

I have been teaching foreign languages and ESL for more than 20 years and am comfortable working with all age groups. I taught 17 years in Portugal (ESL and French; 6-12 grades and Adult Education Programs) and ever since I moved to the US in 2010 (Portuguese and Spanish in a corporation, and tutoring all four languages at home or online). I am a very patient, motivated and enthusiastic teacher and I always adjust my teaching methods to the student's age, needs and purpose. I never give up on a student and I am sure I can help him/her attain his/her full potential. Fulvia has been our teacher now for 3 years. We wanted to learn Italian because we travel to Italy often.
Each lesson is well prepared and thought through by the teacher. Fulvia uses many different ways to make lessons fun and the language more approachable.
They include books, videos and interactive games etc. There is always a bit of homework to do to help follow up with the weekly lesson. She always finds ways to help us understand subjects that are challenging.
That Fulvia is a native speaker of the Italian language is a big bonus.
Fulvia is a great teacher and we highly recommend her.

About Andrew
I teach/tutor a myriad of topics and love doing it. I'm currently attending the Georgia Institute of Technology, studying aerospace engineering and computer science, so I love science and math (particularly when it has to do with space stuff). I'm super outgoing and a very laid back, chill person all at the same time (being like this has produced quite the stories). I also love food, a lot.

Working with others and helping them succeed has been something I've loved to do for a while now. While I was in high school, I was a coach for one of the local swim teams and had a blast getting to teach people how to swim and such, and the best part was getting to connect with those kids and seeing them succeed during the swim meets.

Once I graduated, I had the privilege to serve as a full time volunteer in Brazil for a couple years, where my
sole focus, every day, was to help others to improve the quality of their life. In doing so, I had the wonderful opportunity to meet new people everyday and see people's lives drastically improve. Another cool part of this experience was that I got to teach English as a second language to people who'd never spoken it before. They loved it, and in the time that I did teach it, students went from speaking no English to being able to form basic sentences and have simple conversations.

Now in college, I've strived to continue this pattern with the little free time that I get during the week and on the weekends due to my classes. Throughout all of this, I've discovered how easy it is for me to connect with people and how much fun it can be.

What I bring to the lessons:
I always ensure to provide the highest quality lessons and ensure that the student easily understands the materials. I'll provide materials that I know will assist the student to master the concepts.

My expectations:
Learning requires the student to put in effort. Any assignments I give, I will expect them to be completed. I understand that sometimes one of "those weeks" comes around where life hits us in the face, but it's not every week.

Your expectations:
You've come to me obviously to learn something new, and I intend to go above and beyond those expectations. I want the lessons to be more than just sit down, do the work, and then leave. That's not a great way to learn stuff, in my opinion. Expect to be brought out of your comfort zone a bit and experience things you never experienced before. Above all, expect to see these lessons as an enjoyable experience.

About Taylor
Hello! My name is Taylor. I’m 22 years, but I will be turning 23 next month. I am a citizen of the united states, and I live right outside Atlanta, Georgia. I have been working as a kindergarten teacher in China for the last few months, but I got homesick so decided to move back to the US. However, I really did enjoy teaching, which is why I decided to pursue teaching online.
My hobbies include drawing painting and team sports like volleyball
I also love watching sports like basketball and football. I would say my personal English language skills are strongest when it comes to the written word. I studied writing a little in college but also wrote for and eventually became the Editor-in-Chief of my university's newspaper. This not only gave me writing and editing skills but also gave me a much larger vocabulary. While I think the Engli
sh language can be complicated at times, I love learning new languages, and I think I can be of help to students learning English.
I have spent time learning Korean and Spanish before, so I know exactly what types of things students find easiest and hardest to understand, and I also know that the more practical use you get, the better you will get at the language. My lessons will be focused on building those practical skills, not just learning particular words in phrases that might sound good, but won't give you the foundation you need to learn in the future.

About Rae
I am fluent in Spanish as a result of taking lessons from kindergarten through college.

My Spanish teachers have come from Panama, Venezuela, Guatemala, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Peru, and Spain which allowed me to learn a variety of dialects in the process. For instance, my teacher from Spain taught me a completely different alphabet from the set of letters used in Mexico, and he also taught me the differences in pronunciation and certain vocabulary with Spain compared to other Spanish-speaking countries. Moreover, I’ve had a few teachers from the United States who were well-studied and provided extensive knowledge on speaking Spanish.

Learning Spanish was one of the best investments I’ve ever made. I consider this an investment because it takes sincere time, effort, and commitment to master the language, and the payoff is exploring a new s
kill, and opening a gateway to Spanish-speaking populations and learning about their respective cultures. It’s been easier to relate to those who speak Spanish, natively or taught, and it provides a sense of community. Not to mention, if there’s ever an emergency and the person you are speaking to only speaks Spanish, you can communicate with them and find help faster.

I encourage everyone to learn Spanish. For me, it’s been a journey of self-discovery, patience, and triumph. Perhaps you will enjoy the benefits of your journey, too.
