A number of other guitar instructors and professional guitarists in the Atlanta area have been former students. I've performed professionally since I was 16. I teach reading music, tab reading, chord knowledge, strumming patterns, understanding rhythm notation, fretboard knowledge, finger picking, flatpicking, learning songs, improvisation, rock, country, blues, jazz, etc. I teach at every level of playing from beginner to pro-level players.
I have over 30 years experience as a professional guitar instructor and have been actively teaching lessons in Henry County, GA as well as Clayton County, GA. And have branched out to teach online as well. I had actually started teaching friends as a teenager since 1976 where I grew up in N.Y. and

I played music professionally for many years, both solo and in a variety of bands. I did not enjoy performing. I am a songwriter and my studio is where I feel most comfortable. I teach finger-style acoustic guitar as my default but enjoy other styles as well. Regardless of style, it will always be combined with a strong understanding of music theory and guitar basics. It doesn't matter If you are interested in more advanced topics (i.e. songwriting, recording, etc.) or are a complete beginner. I am happy to work with all levels. Let's get started. You can do this!
I've been writing and recording music my whole life. Aside from motorcycle riding, it's my true love.
