About Karen
I am a professional singer with over 25 years experience performing individually and with bands, orchestras, ensembles, choirs, and a cappella groups in concerts, theater, clubs and festivals, nationally and internationally.

I began singing in the church choir, talent shows and performing with various groups as a teenager. Music allowed me creative freedom and excitement and took me to a world of wonder. Attending music schools and colleges I studied voice, piano, performance technique, theory, sight singing/ear training, composition, jazz theory, improvisation, world music, and musical theater.

About Steve
Music has been a part of my life for over 4 decades. I stepped onstage when I was 15, and have been active in the music business ever since. I was raised in the New York / New England area, and played in many bands in the 70's and 80's, most notably the band AVALON. I moved to Florida in the late 80's and began to develop a one man show, using the emerging technology available. I called the show YIN YANG, the infinite possibility of Music. I chose the name, as it is the Oriental symbol for balance, and used it to represent the balance between the electric and acoustic, and the technology of today with the classic music from yesterday. Midi guitar and guitar synthesis became my trademarks as I pushed the boundaries of how I could express myself on the guitar. Being able to play sax, flute, strings, pianos, even percussion on the guitar to
ok my imagination to new places and enabled me to express myself in ways I didn't know were possible. I grew up influenced by the classic rock guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Alvin Lee, Duane Allman, and used their techniques to springboard me into developing my style. I am also influenced by some of the great guitarists of today, such as Satriani, Vai, Bonamassa, etc. I am fluent in electric and acoustic guitar, slide guitar, open tunings, modal playing, and guitar synthesis. I also can play and teach mandolin, ukulele, banjo, bass, and also harmonica and folk harp. I am working on the bagpipes now. I also give lessons on music technology, audio recording, and music software such as Sonar, Reason, and Finale, to name a few. Music is the passion that feeds my soul, and a decade ago I started teaching, to have a chance to give back to the next generation and share what I have learned along the way. I love bringing out the soul of each new student I meet.

*** Lesson Details ***
When I take on a new student, the first thing I do is to sit down and talk to them and find out a bit about them... their personality, what their influences in music are, what artists they like, and what they are looking to be able to accomplish on the instrument. Each student is an individual, so depending on what they like, I will frame my lessons around the styles and artists that they like, and will incorporate the fundamentals and the exercises around the music that they enjoy. I will use the artists and the songs that excite my students to frame the lessons that we work on. I use music software to create custom grooves for each of my students to practice to, and also sometimes use a video cam to film my student working on a particular lesson that they are having trouble with, so that when they go home, they have an example of themselves playing the lesson, so they can study it at home to get it right. I am a firm believer in learning all the rules. I am also a firm believer, when you know the rules, to break them all. You have to know the rules to be able to break them. I will provide you with everything you need to shine on your instrument. My teaching technique is something that I developed myself, is quite unique, and, if you follow my program, you will progress REALLY fast. But keep in mind, anything good is worth working for, and if you REALLY want this, you will grow in leaps and bounds. Most of my students have been with me on an average of 4 to 5 years, some 9 or 10 years. I look forward to meeting you and helping you make magic with music! Ciao!

This enables me to create musical templates tailored for each student according to their musical interests, what they would like to focus on, and what their ultimate goals are. For example ...lead guitar, rhythm guitar, acoustic guitar accompaniment to their voice, etc. which ends up making for an exciting experience as my student learns their instrument framed around the styles of music that they enjoy.

About Dyce
Dyce’s action-packed lessons get aspiring students learning real songs in no time—all while teaching them music theory and scales that connects the music to relatable, practical theory. His custom-tailored lessons are based on this realization. “I know that all of my students are unique, both as people, and as musicians,” Dyce states, “so I realized that my lessons should celebrate these differences.” Instead of following a rigid, “cookie-cutter” approach to teaching, he makes allowances for these differences, and custom tailors a lesson plan that enriches their musical tastes, goals, and strengths. Dyce has learned, over two decades of playing and teaching professionally, when to push students—and when to stay out of the way. This sort of expert guidance helps students flourish, because they learn music on their own terms.

I retired last year at the age of 64 and started taking lessons with Stephannie a month ago because I always wanted to learn to sing. I am amazed at the progress I've made in only 5 lessons. I didn't know if I could sing note one, but in the very first lesson she got me to sing 5 note scales and it just keeps getting better every week. Stephannie is simply fabulous and so encouraging that it motivates me to work even harder. Taking lessons with her is one of the best decisions I ever made.

My daughter starting taking lessons with Stephannie around age 10. I was looking for an instructor to teach piano to help introduce my kids to music before they chose an instrument in school. Stephannie was perfect. They learned far more than just piano, they learned to sight read music and learned theory and even got a chance to write a little music of their own. My son started with her around age 9. As a boy, he tended to rush and lose focus sometimes. Stephannie was always so patient and encouraging with both of the kids and worked with their strengths. At the same time, she always pushed them to grow musically. After 3 years, she had to move and we were so sad to see her go. Both of my kids went on to play instruments in school and are their section leaders (violin and trumpet). They can read music at a far more advanced level to most of their peers. That time with Miss Stephannie, building that early musical foundation, was invaluable.

I have been studying piano and voice with Stephannie for over three years and love working with her. I have had both face-to-face and online lessons. She is a master at starting where you are and finding the best approach for you in that moment. I have found parts of my voice I didn't know existed and have tackled a variety of piano pieces. Stephannie brings a wealth of knowledge about performing, technique, music history and style and lessons are always fun. I highly recommend Stephannie.

I am a professional violinist. I have a Bachelors Degree in Music with a violin specialization and Musical Pedagogy.
Violin students can expect to improve week to week in their skills and technique. It is important to be consistent with violin classes; I teach students to release built up tension and apply foundational techniques in order to unlock their own individual sound. I can help any student to play with expression, intonation, and confidence.
I cannot wait to start with our lessons!
I teach violin students of all different ages. I studied classical violin for 19 years, and popular for 5 years. I am qualified to teach students to read music and pursue classical excellence, to learn how to play popular music whether the student prefers a music sheet to read while they are playing or memorize it, depending on the student's goals
and choice.
I have performed in a Chamber Orchestra for ten years. I have toured South America and the Caribbean. I also have performed as a soloist in different ensembles and Orchestras with a vast repertoire.
My personal passion is for classical, popular, pop and rock music, it is important to understand that an accurate technique is essential to all music styles.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you to improve and become a better musician and performer in every class!

My 10 year old daughter has now been taking violin lessons online with Valeria for almost a year (once a week for half the year, and now twice a week). Valeria is amazingly patient with her, but also challenges her to push herself ever farther, and gently holds her to high expectations. They work on multiple aspects, writing the notes, singling along to the music to get the beat of it, proper posture, bowing technique, etc. She works with my daughter to select some pieces that are growth pieces and some that my daughter is interested in playing. They have developed a wonderful rapport.

Valeria is also super flexible and easy to work with - she's been understanding when we needed to reschedule lessons and great at communicating with me about simple things like logistics and also about my daughter's progress. I very highly recommend her!

I am a classically trained coloratura soprano. My specialty is Opera, though I have performed a lot of Musical Theater.
At the moment I teach in a Musical Theater academy. I like to focus on the voice, but I make special emphasis in the overall performance. I like to dive in the acting, in order to achieve a complete and polished result. I believe "great auditioning" is a skill that all performers must have in order to get the job and I like to teach my students how to audition.

I believe in teaching from experience and preparing my students for the real world. I have a Bachelors and a Masters in Voice Performance. I also have experience working in a few top Opera Houses and many Theaters. I love to teach, I believe that we need to prepare the future generations so they may give back to society, and in order to do this, they need to
be taught with structure, sensitivity to the student's preferences in genre and style and with lots of enthusiasm and good vibes.
