I am a very mature(read old) student and I had been wanting to learn to play the trombone. The catch was that I had never taken lessons and could not read music. Pasquale was absolutely unflapped by this. He had the patience of a saint, had the ability to make me feel comfortable and was 1000% encouraging in my quest. Oh and also by the way...he knows his stuff and is gifted in his ability to teach it in a way that I could understand and be comfortable. I highly recommend taking lessons from him!!!

My son was having struggling with the French horn and school instruction wasn't enough to help him get ahead. Pasquale helped him master his assignments as well as helped him with his technique and being more consistent with his notes. Definitely recommend Pasquale for lessons.

Andrew has taught my four-year-old son for a few months now and he's been amazing! He does a great job with very young learners, keeping the lessons fast-paced and fun, with lots of creative games and activities. My son has made quick progress and is getting a strong foundation in musical theory. Even in doing our classes online the last few weeks, Andrew has kept the lessons engaging and fun. "Melanie taught my son flute for 1 1/2 year. He absolutely loved her lessons and because of her encouragement he became very passionate about playing the flute. Melanie was always very patient and enthusiastic with my son and gave him pieces to play that she knew he would enjoy, while at the same time setting high, but realistic, expectations of him. Melanie was also always very flexible when it came to scheduling lessons, which was very helpful since we had a busy schedule. My son made a lot of progress in his flute playing and was very sad when Melanie moved and we had to find another teacher. I really cannot recommend her highly enough!"

Carlos made me feel very comfortable and wow, did I ever learn a lot in this first lesson. I used to play the piano when I was quite young but have lost much of my ability. Carlos helped me with the keyboard in addition to teaching me correct breathing and testing my voice range. I look forward to my lesson next week!"

When Should You Replace Your Drum Heads?

A big part of drum set maintenance is knowing when to replace your drum heads. But when is the right time to do so? Of course, the right time will depend on how often you play - and also how hard you play. It can also depend on the sound you're going for, but a good rule of thumb is to switch out their drum heads when they start losing their original tone - they may sound dull, flat or worn. Other factors are if you notice dents (likely to happen if you're still using the stock heads), if you …
