Private Guitar Teacher

I tried to teach guitar in the same manner in which I teach every instrument. First I teach students the rudiments of the instrument. Also I teach them how to read and a bit of music theory. From that point I like to follow the students lead. They bring in songs that they would like to learn, or possibly how to play lead guitar, or how to finger pick. At every point I try to point out general aspects of music that need to be learned from the material that they choose.

My experience with Kathy has been great. It's been roughly five months and I learned a lot and I'm also much more confident to sing. Learning the right techniques is crucial. Kathy is extremely patient and she adapts the classes to the student goals and aspirations. English is not my first language and she was also always very respectful and patient in explaining everything twice or maybe three times until I get it.

Curtis is a fantastic teacher! He is patient, enthusiastic, and encouraging. He teaches the type of songs you want to learn and not some song from a guitar guidebook. "Andrea is an excellent guitar instructor. I have always wanted to learn guitar but I never had time to commute to the instructor's location after a long day at work. Now I work from home and I took advantage of the situation to give it a try. It is an amazing experience to learn guitar on line with Andrea. "Our daughter, Grace, took lessons from Alex and had a wonderful experience. Alex did great finding out what her goal for playing was, right off the bat. For Grace, she wanted to be able to accompany her own singing. She picked some songs, they worked out the chords together, and pinpointed some riffs for her to learn. (The same thing everyone has to do when they learn a new song.) It was just great that Alex showed Grace that front-end work to learn a song pays off. On top of all of this, Alex is a super nice guy!
