I can't really talk too much about how other teachers work, and also don't want to. But I know I have and always had many happy and successful students. From kids, adults, professionals, hobbyists to people who retired and finally have time to fulfill a life goal.

About Mac

Hello Students, Parents, Grandparents and all the other happy people. :) Just send me a message if you are interested in taking lessons and we go from there and figure out what goals you have and how we can take it from there. I teach kids (my youngest was 4 years old when we started), adults, pr

I take lessons from Marcel for about 5 years now. We started with Accordion and I asked him later if he could teach me German as well. I knew he would teach German. No I am taking 3 hours accordion and mostly 2-3 hours German on the weekends and I am loving it.

I can truly say he is one of the best teachers / tutors out there. He is not only super patient but puts so much heart and passion into the lessons.

I know he is mostly super busy but if you have the chance to take lessons with him, I would say GO FOR IT! :)

Michael is a stickler for doing things right, but in a nice way. I feel that his mode of teaching is best, because it builds a solid foundation for further learning.

After a brief intro, Mike explained where're going with his lessons. I was having some problems getting my fingers near certain fret areas he wanted me to work on, so he very kindly placed some colors tape where I'm to put my fingers. That helped a lot. Been practicing an hour per day, & I'm getting a bit better daily. I've got a long way to go, but with Mike's help I'll get there. ELLIOT

I am an origami artist and origami teacher with more than 20 years experience of teaching origami to children, adults and seniors. I live in NYC. I have been teaching origami in private and public schools as well as community centers, museums and senior centers. I work well with special needs children and adults. I use paper and materials you can find in your own home, like printing paper, napkins, dollar bills or business cards. Origami is not just another art or craft form. It is a way of acquiring multitude of skills, in a fun way . Origami engages students in learning basic math concepts like shape, size and number. In the process they learn patience and concentration sequencing and problem solving. Most importantly, people of all ages gain self esteem as they succeed in finishing a model and take pride of their work. They also find that the models they fold can serve them for practical purposes; All kind of boxes to store crayons, staples, A dish to put candies, a hand ...

We hired Haggit for a corporate event. I am so pleased that we did, Haggit's origami session was such a hit! Haggit was really easy to work with in advance when we were planning what to make during the session. The participants at the session had huge smiles on their faces and everyone left learning how to make 3 new things with origami!

Haggit was great. We had a fun time and learned some along the way. Thank you Haggit :)
Melanie S.
Haggit was an excellent instructor who gave instructions that were easy to understand for students at all levels. She came to our class well prepared with several different models for us to make and had a great set-up so we could easily see how to make the folds. We really enjoyed our lesson with her and are excited to use our new origami skills!

I have been crocheting for more than 30 years. I have taught small classes in the past, and learned much about how to successfully bring this wonderful artform into other people's lives.

My strengths in crocheting are in making clothing (bottom up sweaters, bottom up socks, scarves, mittens, hats, dishrags, potholders, and afghans. I love to design some of these myself or modify patterns I have to better suit me. I also am good at filet crochet and I used to make more doilies than I do now.

In addition to teaching you individual crochet stitches or stitch patterns, I can teach you all the foundational skills. These would be: the vocabulary of crochet, how to read yarn labels, how to choose crochet hooks you like to use, how to read written and graphic patterns, and anything else that will make you a wise shopper and informed crocheter.

Whether you are a beginner or more advanced, let's crochet together! I have good beginner projects for you to do, or we can tackle specific areas ...

About Alise

I picked up my first crochet hook when I was in about 6th grade. I had some written instructions for how to do it, and probably got as far as doing some chains. In High School, my interest re-emerged when I took a class called Creative Living, in which I formally learned to crochet (among other won

"Mr. Siddharth is teaching our 5 year old. It has been just two classes and I see my son being excited for the class. Mr. Siddharth is very patient and takes time to go over concepts and tests them out with our son and never rushes him even if it goes beyond time.
Even before the classes started he called us to get an idea on our son's competency level which was very appreciated. We look forward to continue the training with him!"

"We never thought we would have an International Master as our son's chess teacher.

We have a typical 7 year old. High on energy with zero patience. But Danial knows how to channel that energy into our son's lessons and helps him think strategically, analytically, and patiently. Our son's games have improved dramatically ever since he started with Danial. He has learned so many different startegies and techniques from him, and can easily identify them. Being so young himself, Danial is able to connect with kids at their level and make the lessons fun, yet challenging. Being so disciplined and focused himself, he is able to pass that on to our son. But most of all, he is inspiring. He always tells our son, "I did it, and you can too!". We couldn't have asked for a better teacher, and a role model. I highly recommend him."

5 Chess Moves to Up Your Endgame

The end of the game has come. You have successfully out-maneuvered and outfought your opponent, conquering large swaths of the chessboard, and approaching that triumphal moment when you will topple the opponent’s king and declare that he has fallen---in other words, a checkmate (recall that “checkmate” is an anglicization of “shah mat”, Persian for “the king is dead”)… Only to realize that you don’t quite know how to finish the game, which inevitably results in a slapsti …
