I'm originally from Korea and moved to the states 13 years ago. I have been taught Korean for non Koreans since then. I teach grammar, vocabulary, speaking and so on depending on which you the most focus on. For korean Americans, they mostly have a trouble with vocabularies and understanding the complicated articles and news so I use them as materials when we have a conversation.

I usually use a book and hand out for a lesson.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I came to USA at age of 15 and learned English in Mid-West most of my life. I love using idioms in both language. In Korean up-to-dated direct translation of "you're welcome" is "what?" why? because they meant "oh no what are you talking about? don't mention it"
Let's learn the language while having fun. Take a lesson from me.

About Johan
Johan here and I love music! Nice to meet you fellow music lover.

I have been involved in music since I was just a child. It started with learning piano, then guitar, ukulele, mandolin, harmonica, djembe and so many more.

I’ve continued to learn and perfect my craft by being apart of different types of bands from small to large with varying genres of music. I also formalized my music education with a bachelor of Art in Music. Did I mention I’m also quite a harmonizer? Sign up today and maybe I’ll throw in some tips with your instrument lesson.

Johan is great with kids! My son is a very active child, and he was able to make the lesson fun and engaging. More than that, I enjoyed seeing Johan be creative, listen to the child, and make music fun, more than being it a lesson (per say). I highly recommend Johan!

Johan is talented, passionate, and an all around positive force that everyone needs in an instructor. He can help you discover what it is you really want to get out of piano/music, and then guide you to where you want to go.

I have taught English to Koreans back in Seoul for more than 8 years, so I know exactly how different these two languages are.

Based on this understanding of how I need to approach non-Korean speaker especially whose mother tongue is English, I am confident that I can let you start studying Korean the easiest way and make the class fun with lots of introduction of Korean cultures and history.

About Suyoun
Hello! My name is Sue and I've been teaching English to Koreans, Koreans to English speakers since 2007.
From this long experience, I learned how different and opposite these 2 languages are, so I can teach my student how to learn this beautiful Korean language the most efficient way and fun.

How can I make the classes fun? Along with language classes, I will share lots of Korean culture and history, so the students have always interest in the Korean culture. Once you are interested in that culture, it will be inevitable not to learn the language! Always remember! Language and Culture. These are 2 things that never be separated.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!
