I have a Ph.D. in French from the Ohio State University with twenty years of teaching experience (private lessons, language institutions, and universities).
Since my childhood, I have always been fond of the French language and culture in such a way that French has become part of my identity. From the first day of preschool to the last day of high school, I studied at a French school.
I love teaching French. My teaching methodology depends on each of my students and their specific needs and goals in learning the French language. It is important to me to keep my students interested, motivated, and engaged while learning the language. I always try to assure that my students feel comfortable and confident in speaking French in a friendly and fun environment.

I am a native speaker and have taught for more then 15 years.
My lesson are structured, creative and fun.

Dear French Students,

A native French speaker, I have been tutoring students of all levels since 2008. I was the main French and German Instructor at the San Jose Learning Center in the Silicon Valley before moving to New York.

The core of my lessons are drawn from a language book, which allows everyone to work at his or her own pace during the week.

The lessons always begin with a dialogue, no matter your level. From how you are feeling, to what you did during the week, to the weather of your best friend's gossip, we warm up with a conversation I type out as we go.

The rest of the lesson is then spent reviewing previous work and introducing new material in a variety of ways, constantly setting a rule in practice. Poems, songs or texts, depending on your interest, keep the content alive and interesting.

I was born and raised in Nice, France. I arrived in the United States in 2010, to study music in California. I just received my doctorate from the University of Miami.

I have taught French to foreigner people in France since I was 18 years old (my mother has been doing that for over 30 years now) and since I arrived here to adults and students. I was also a French tutor during my Bachelor, Master and Doctorate programs.

Through private lessons I can help you get ready for exams and midterms, help you improve your french or just offer you to have a conversation with a native speaker. I love my culture and would love to share it with you if you are interested.

Bonjour et bienvenue (Hello and welcome)! I am fluent in French, having formally studied the language for more than twenty-five years. I have taught French professionally for at least twelve years and teach all levels and ages from K-12 to collegiate and adult learners. I am familiar with all French language forms (i.e., Old French, Medieval French, Early Modern French, and Modern French). I also teach each of those forms and the diverse range of literature, culture, and history associated with them. Lessons cater to student needs, ability, experience, age, level, and interest.

As a linguist and polyglot, I am well-versed in the nuances of grammar and language. My students will receive comprehensive education about French grammar to better understand the language, historical development, and culture of the French people. I do my best to figure out your learning style so you feel comfortable and make progress quickly. I lived and worked in France and had a bunch of French friends, including a French boyfriend who didn't speak English so I was constantly challenged to learn the language well. I have a good sense of humor and try to make the lessons as challenging as you need them to be while providing a relaxed supportive environment. I look forward to working with you!
