Being born and raised in Geneva, the French-speaking part of Switzerland, French is my mother tongue. With a Swiss degree of pediatric nursing and teaching, I worked more than 15 years with children, families and adult students. Finding the best way to learn depending on who you are and what goals you have is one of my specialties. I like to provide a dynamic and a fun learning environment.
Having learnt as multiple second languages, such as English, Italian, Spanish and German, I’m very aware of the process of learning a new language.
I can provide vocabulary, grammar, verbs, conversation as well as cultural aspects from different French speaking countries, as I was working with people from France and I spent 3 years in Montreal, Quebec.
I moved to Richmond two years ago, bringing many French books for all ages, that could be used during lessons.
I’m a french native speaker from Switzerland. I moved from Geneva, two years ago for my husband’s work. He’s a pediatric clinical and research physician at VCU (MCV). I’m the mother of two teenagers at the Steward's School. We are a native French speaking family. I have worked since 1999 as a ped

Music Business Management - Jazz Voice from Berklee College of Music
Teaching since 2014
I have been teaching ESL online for almost a year and I enjoy it so much! I love all of my students. There is no fear in making mistakes! That just means your brain is working. We will learn all the basics and make sure we have a strong foundation and then build upon that. I will cater to you whatever level you relate to. I am excited to get to know you and help you grow!
Leah, a teacher, singer/songwriter, musician, entertainer and Berklee College of Music graduate. She loves teaching and loves her students. Her main joy in teaching is watching her students grasp a new understanding and appreciation for their desired art and growing in their skills and talent.
Moreover, she’s incredibly humble. Despite clearly being skilled at singing, she never makes it a point to come off as unapproachable. She innately understands the importance of the learning spirit and how to create a space that fosters it. If you were on the fence about choosing Leah as an instructor, there’s no need to be.

Bonjour a tous!
Dear French Students,
A native French speaker, I have been tutoring students of all levels since 2008. I was the main French and German Instructor at the San Jose Learning Center in the Silicon Valley before moving to New York.
The core of my lessons are drawn from a language book, which allows everyone to work at his or her own pace during the week.
The lessons always begin with a dialogue, no matter your level. From how you are feeling, to what you did during the week, to the weather of your best friend's gossip, we warm up with a conversation I type out as we go.
The rest of the lesson is then spent reviewing previous work and introducing new material in a variety of ways, constantly setting a rule in practice. Poems, songs or texts, depending on your interest, keep the content alive and interesting.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
I hope to hear from you, meet you, and work with you!

My Hindi classes provide the social, political and philosophical contexts of the prose or poetry at hand. Each class is well-structured according to individual needs and paced accordingly too. I often tell interesting facts about the language and everyday life in northern India.
My students feel at ease and look forward to their classes because they are interesting and heavily incorporate things that they relate to. This way Hindi literature remains contemporary and relevant to new generations of readers.
My teaching style is inviting of student participation, supportive and gentle. I work best with individuals aged twelve years and up.
Teaching Hindi since 1988 when I was a teenager myself, my classes are exciting, replete with interesting information about the people of northern India that it represents. I studied Philosophy (honours) at the University of Delhi, India. I opted for advanced Hindi studies consistently throughout m

I taught and tutored and teach Spanish to USA Veterans and students struggling around campus for years. I have years of academic and practical usage/experience with the language. I grew up hearing it and studied it in high school and college level. I know what it is like to be a student in a Spanish class as well as using it in real life application. I also have 2 minors in Spanish Language and Latino/a and Latin American Studies (Formerly known as CBS: Chicano-Boricua Studies) which give me the perfect mix of language and culture.
I am very patient and work on your level. I have years of academic and practical usage/experience with the language. I use that experience to put myself in your shoes and give tips and cultural things that may help you better understand your new language. Also, my knowledge of Psychology helps us hack learning in a time efficient way. No question is ever a dumb question and we will spend as much time on a topic as needed.
I am very organized and have a passion for creating and doing things that give people a new perspective on life. I set plans and goals, and do what it takes to get things done in the most efficient ways possible and I am able to adapt even when things don’t quite work out. As a 2nd Degree Black Bel
