About Jennifer
I have been teaching piano to students of all ages since 1992, both to individual students and groups. I taught with the Music Learning Center of Michigan. I have been a music teacher and choir director for a number of years as well. For eight years I have played the organ and piano for Church worship.

*** Lesson Details ***
Music should be appreciated and enjoyed. Lessons should be fun without sacrificing quality. This is the approach I offer to students. I focus on teaching independence through music theory and sight reading. Performance is an important part of learning so I provide two
recitals every year- one for Christmas and another in the spring, at the end of the school year.
My schedule only allows for weekly lessons. Requests for every other week cannot be accepted.
*** Studio Equipment ***
Separate room dedicated to teaching with upright piano.

Was nervous about my first lesson, never played piano before but Jennifer explained about the piano, notes and how to start reading music and my nerves subsided. Didn't think I'd be playing easy, short pieces in my first lesson! Looking forward to my next lesson.

Jennifer is a knowledgeable piano teacher. English is not my native language but the way she explains the music theory is very easy for me to understand. I'm very lucky to have her as my teacher.

The instructor was warm and welcoming. I felt I had her full attention and she corrected my errors and noted my strengths with equal grace.

About Andrew
Music is my life. As cheesy as that phrase goes, for me, it holds true. Everything I do and have been doing has been geared towards music. I've been in one working/gigging band or other without break for the past 10 years. I began intensely learning to play guitar at the age of 9 and have not stopped. The second I started learning I knew that that was what I wanted to do. Fast forward to now, and here I am loving every minute of it. I took lessons of my own as a kid, which helped shape me greatly. I then picked up bass at the age of 13.
I've taught personalized lessons for over 7 year
s now without a single complaint. At this point in my musical career, the majority of my experience and attitude has come from being "in the field". I've played South By South West, Austin City Limits, Westheimer Block Party, opened up for bands like the Misfits and the Shins, shared the stage with bands like The Wallflowers, Minus the Bear, and Echo and the Bunnymen, and been on tour and lived the whole life more often than not!
YOU can be an active musician. If you have the passion and desire. The first step though, is learning your instrument. Learning an instrument is something that stays with you for the rest of your life. It's an unfaltering companion that can benefit you in so many ways. I like to toss out the strict "teacher/student" regiment and create a laid back, fun, easy going atmosphere. I want to be buds and SHARE music with each other and introduce you into this world that I have grown to love so so much. There is nothing more rewarding. I promise. So let's get started!

*** Lesson Details ***
I am very laid back. Your progress is directly linked to you. I will give it my all to teach you and help you, but if you don't practice or soak it in, that's on you! I hate having a tense, seminar type lesson atmosphere. Lessons with me will be easy going and relaxed. I don't want to have to put on a sweater vest and wag my finger as a I scold you. That's just not me.
However, I DO expect you to get things done. Why waste your time with lessons if you're not going to take them seriously on any level? The curriculum will be totally personalized for YOU. After all, not everybody likes the same music and style. The first lesson or two will be getting a handle on exactly what YOU want to learn and what YOU want out of it. Finding out your favorite bands/artists, guitar players, bass players, etc. There's nothing worse than being taught something you have no desire for, but having it drilled into your head week after week! So whether that be blues, folk, metal, whatever, that's the first step. With that information I'll begin constructing and laying out the rest of your lesson plan.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Although I assume you have an instrument of your own (if not I recommend getting one, it sort of helps), if you're looking to just try things out at first I have more than a few extra that I'd be happy to let you use. My teaching studio doubles as a recording studio as well. This means 2 things: if ever you would like to record some of your music you know where to go! And also, I have the means to record the entire lesson if you'd like. You'll need to supply the blank CD(s) of course. It's not a requirement to record the lesson, just an option! Basically, I have everything you could ever possibly need for music lessons here. So you're set.

*** Travel Equipment ***
Guitars, amps, etc. anything that would be needed I've got!

*** Specialties ***
I am versed in blues, rock, metal, folk, hardcore, acoustic-finger-style and various other acoustic styles, and more. Through teaching and experience as a working musician I have mastered most genres and styles. When sitting at home jamming in my free time, I probably most frequently find myself playing acoustic finger-style, blues, folk, or hardcore, but love and appreciate most styles. So, bring it on!

I just finished my third lesson with Andrew and I am enjoying my lessons very much. In my first lesson I did not even know how to hold a guitar and he was very patient with me and teaches at a pace I was comfortable with. He is keeping me motivated to learn by introducing new skills and lessons and critiques me in a way that I want to improve. He always sends me home with assignments that I can use to practice and we typically spend the beginning of the next class going over it. He will make sure to correct any bad-habits that I may be developing and shows me ways in which I can improve. I feel this helps build a solid foundation that I hope to build upon in the years to come. I highly recommend learning guitar from Andrew.

About Cameron
As a violin and viola instructor, my goal is to give my students lessons that are as fun and productive as possible. I teach my students all the essential technical and musical principles which help them to play the violin expressively, prevent them from developing harmful habits and help them reach their full potential. I do not use an exact method or course, but rather teach each student according to his/her particular needs. I teach beginner through advanced level.

I have been privileged to study violin with some of the most respected violin teachers in the US. Many of my teachers were
graduates of Juliard and other top music schools where they studied with some of the most famous violin teachers of the 20th century including Ivan Galamian and Josef Gingold. I have also studied with Texas String Teacher of the Year winner Henry Rubin.

I teach violin from my house in north Houston and I can travel to your home as well (prices vary depending on location). I teach beginner through advanced. If you are interested you may call or text me.

Thank you for viewing my profile for guitar instruction.
I also can teach and help with composition and "score to picture"using Pro Tools software. Please see videos in the photos video section for my national and regional original music tv ads.

I was born in New Jersey, and soon after moved to St. Louis where I began to play guitar at age 6 at the Mel Bay Studios from Mell Bay himself, and later from the person who taught him to play. After attending music school for a while, I moved to a recording studio in Houston Texas, where I was a session player and learned the art of recording and producing from major label producers and engineers. During this time I recorded on albums for Freddy Fender as well as other pop acts, and started my publishing company with BMI. After which I moved to Milwaukee where I meet John Tanner, an original music jingle writer, and worked with John on his projects as a guitar session player, singer, composer, audio engineer and producer.

In the middle 90's I meet up with another singer songwriter Noel Crowder during a jingle recording session. We discovered that our voices blended very well together, and decided to write and record music together. We soon added a drummer Steve Comeau, and started work on our first album which we released on our own under the band name "Feet Of Clay". During this time I met up with Stacy Heydon who was David Bowies former guitar player and a gold and platinum awarded producer, and started to play guitar for his production work with groups he was producing.

After a favourable review in Billboard Magazine, Feet Of Clay signed with a record label that had worldwide distribution through RED {SONY}. With the help of our newly acquired manager John Lay, whose English managerial team included The Police, Squeeze, The Greenberry Woods, Love Nut and Feet Of Clay, we soon completed a new album which was released worldwide via the Sony distribution system and received AAA radio airtime around the United States, Canada and Europe .

After our record deal, I resumed my session playing and private guitar instruction along with live performances in musical theatre. It was at this time I began composing, recording and performing original music for national and regional TV and radio ads on my own, as well as music for film including a Katherine Heigl movie "Side Effects", released on Warner Brothers, and became more involved with the Recording Academy, of which I am a voting Grammy member as well as being a guest speaker at the university level on the music business, score to picture, session playing, recording and music publishing.

I have recently moved from Wisconsin to Kingwood Texas with my wife in search of a warmer climate leaving behind our horse farm. My interests are animals, especially horses, history, science and anything pertaining to music with an emphasis on helping young artist within the Recording Academy with my Grammy voting member duties.

Guitar Instruction Technique

Check out the video that has been added to MTV that I play guitars on below.

In my guitar instructions I always use methods where the student will not become bored, as I combine songs the student likes to learn, and songs I feel would be beneficial for the student to move on to the next level, and at the same time teach the theory behind the songs. If the student shows interest in recording and or composition I will also teach those as well, as I have an extensive recording background. My styles are pop, rock, alternative, folk and a little country for the most part, and I enjoy teaching children just starting out and intermediate players but have had students performing at a higher level. I also bring a portable Pro Tools recording system with me for recording performances. But most importantly I like to keep the lessons fun and interesting and tailored for the individual student, as that's what music is all about.

"Billboard Magazine" calls the music of Milwaukee-based band Feet Of Clay, "Knowledgeable musicianship working together with skilful songwriting, breathy vocals, aching harmonies and irresistible melodies.

Secured international/national recording contract via RED/Sony with Feet of Clay.

Critically acclaimed articles/endorsements in internationally recognised music magazines including Billboard Magazine, Boarders Books as well as Music and Pro Sound News magazine.

Wisconsin Area Music Awards nominations including Best Songwriter and Guitar Instrumentalist.

Scored, preformed and recorded original music for the Katherine Heigl movie "Side Effects" released on Warner Brothers.

Voting Grammy member (Recording Academy}.

I'm not the best at describing things but I will have to say that Ralph is a wounded teacher. He really knows his stuff. The way that he teaches is in an engaging way and having fun while doing it. He is very patient and kind. I would recommend him to anyone!

Ralph is the best kind of instructor! His knowledge of the history of the guitar is amazing coupled with patience for the beginner student. However what moves him over the top of a typical instructor is his true "can do" encouragement he gives to his students. It's apparent he truly enjoys the challenge and rewards of teaching.

About Keturah
I have a deep love for singing and performing. I began singing with my family at the age of 3 and was performing in public beginning at age 4. In 1988, I was introduced to barbershop a capella style harmonies and began singing with my sisters in a quartet. In 2003, I graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelors of Music, choral education emphasis, and French minor.

After graduation, I had the unique opportunity to become a member of the world-renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I sang on numerous recordings, in addition to performing on the weekly radio and television broadcast of
Music and the Spoken Word.

In 2013, I became a member of Sweet Adelines International and currently sing with The Woodlands Show Chorus. I recently wrote an article published in the April 2016 Sweet Adelines International magazine, The PitchPipe, entitled What Makes Warm-Ups So Important. I continue to sing barbershop and compete along with my sisters. We are currently ranked 7th place in the Region.

I love all styles of music, from barbershop to pop to classical. My students also have varying interests in music. In my lessons, you select the music you want to improve on.

During our first lesson, I will have you sing through some music exercises to determine your current range and abilities. My motto is: "It doesn't matter where you start as long as you are improving!" Then you will be asked to sing a piece of a song. We will also discuss your goals and motivations. I am here for you! I want you to see growth immediately, so we will mold each lesson to the skills and techniques you need.

Students will receive a free transcription of vocal warm-ups and exercises for developing sight-reading, if this is a desired goal.
