Originally from Detroit, I enjoyed being a "Jack of all styles" singer/musician for over 15 years. I was a professional musician performing Classical, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Gospel, Musical Theater, Commercial and Studio work, along with being very involved in Contemporary Christian music. While I very much loved to perform, I found myself drawn much more to the joy of teaching. I love all genres of music, I started with classical, then branched to rock and popular songs with songs like Carry on my Wayward Son, Stairway to Heaven, Viva La Vida and then to movie scores such as Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Jurassic Park, etc. I am a huge fan of music, and the healing and stress relieving powers it has.

This season, amongst other engagements, he will perform the role of Achilla in Julius Caesar with Houston Grand Opera. He will also perform the title role in Le Nozze di Figaro with Palm Beach Opera and make his debut with the Philladelphia Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
In the 2016/17 season, Federico performed Dr. Dulcamara in Houston Grand Opera’s production of L’Elisir d’Amore, conducted by Bradley Moore. Other performances included Brander in The Damnation of Faust with Aspen Music Festival conducted by Mae
In previous seasons, Federico performed the role of Thomas Betterton in the world premiere of Carlisle Floyd’s Prince of Players conducted by Patrick Summers, Angelotti in Tosca, Zaretsky in Eugene Onegin, the King in The Little Prince, the cover of the title role and Antonio in The Marriage of Figaro, and selected scenes as Tiridate in Radamisto and Figaro, all at Houston Grand Opera. At the Auditorio Sony Madrid, the artist performed the roles of Leporello in Don Giovanni, the title role in Don Pasquale and Don Magnifico in La Cenerentola. While at the Opera Studio of Teatro Argentino de La Plata, Federico performed Don Alfonso in Così fan tutte, Antonio in Il viaggio a Reims, El Hombre Mayor in Gandini’s contemporary opera La ciudad ausente, Johann in Werther, Narrator in Rota’s I due timidi, Plutone in Il ballo dell’ingrate, and Tempo in Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria.
On the concert and recital stage, Federico has performed in a concert tour of Spain, organized by the Fundación Albéniz, a Christmas concert for the Royal Family of Spain at the Palacio Real de Madrid, as well as concerts with the Nürnberger Symphoniker in Nürnberg and Zindorf. Born in Buenos Aires, Federico received 3rd prize in the Eleanor McCollum Competition at the Houston Grand Opera, and was named “Outstanding Student” by Her Majesty Queen Sofía of Spain.
Having 20 years of playing experience definitely helps my teaching. Also, I have been through a period of three years without a cello teacher and having to re-work myself for all the basics and fundamental work after I started taking lesson again. This experience taught me so much on how to start learning the instrument from scratch and also how to "rehab" your bad habit.
As a pedagogue, this is my 8th year of teaching the cello. I am fully trained and registered with the Suzuki Association of Amercas. I have a Master degree in Cello Pedagog
As a cellist, I have the privilege to work with some of the greatest musicians in the world such as Lorin Maazel, Lynn Harrell, Peter Salaff and the Cavani Quartet. I received the Appassionata Endowed Scholarship in Music from Shepherd School to study with Norman Fischer. Before I moved to Houston, I studied with Mark Kosower, who is the current cello principal of the Cleveland Orchestra. I have had the honour to receive the Hong Kong Arts Circle Fellowship from Asian Cultural Council and the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs music scholarship for my studies. I am also the Gold Prize Winner in Cleveland Cello Society Competition – Collegiate Division and the 1st Place Winner in American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition in 2016.
I love to see how my students grow in their practice and getting more and more excitement playing piano and enjoying the Classical Music. I look at every student as an intellectual person first and foremost. I believe that everyone has different personalities and characteristics. The more I can learn about the piano student the more I can tailor the method and lessons to fit every student perfectly.

Guitar students can expect to learn and progress quickly while taking lessons from me. Not only is guitar my first love, but I have been teaching it for 10 years and have learned from experience the most effective thing to teach students. Beginners, Immediate to advanced students are all welcome! Any genre: Rock, Blues, Country, Bluegrass, Classical, pop, and so on!
I teach piano students of all different ages and experience levels. I studied classical piano in college and play other genres as well (blues, gospel, church music). I can teach students to read music and learn how to play with chord charts as well.

I've played violin for almost 15 years now, and have been teaching for 4 years or so. I have a set curriculum in place that has seen much success in achieving a well rounded player knowledgeable not only in playing, but also in the theory behind the playing.
I've played guitar for 8 or 9 years now and have taught for 4 years as well. I play a range of styles, including but not limited to: acoustic fingerstyle, blues, and heavy metal. I teach stage performance along with guitar to prepare you for anything that might come your way in your playing career!
Many acting students come to me with big broad characters and extravagant gestures. While there are some shows that might be stylized this way, this isn't grounded in truth. Many directors will see it as false. I teach students to listen and respond honestly without forcing emotion. I believe that audiences can feel when emotion is genuine and when it's not. By learning to respond honestly, allowing themselves to feel, and thinking critically about the motives of characters, students become better listeners, better communica
Every voice is unique, and I want students to discover the beauty of their truly personal instrument. Because of the personal nature of the voice, I strive to create a safe space to explore. My main priority is freeing the voice from unnecessary tension and supporting it with the breath so students' true sound can be discovered. I know many different exercises for each specific element of vocal technique. I transfer between exercises to actual music pieces until proper technique becomes muscle memory and replaces old habits.
I'm a firm believer in the joy of art. If we are not having fun, we should probably be doing something else. Right?
