I often incorporate beginner piano, music theory, and ear training into my voice lessons. Many of my voice and songwriting students aim to learn how to accompany themselves, and an understanding of scales and chords on the piano helps tremendously with pitch and being able to sing in tune.
I am primarily a voice teacher, but if a student would like to learn how to play chords and scales, as well as develop an understanding of how to read music and play piano on a basic level, I have had much success in breaking down the piano in a simple and digestible way!

Travel the world through music from the comfort of any seat in your home. I have been doing this for the past twelve years with my guitar. I have been through the rivers and amazons of Brazil, getting to know their rhythms that influenced the catchy Bossa Nova; I have walked the muck and mud of Southern USA, playing the Blues and training my fingerstyle technique to imitate that of my idols, and I have cleaned through the distorted grit of Rock around the world to find my own voice. These are only a few places I have travelled. After my education in Guitar, Production, and Songwriting at Berklee College of Music, I can help you cater to the lesson plan you need to take your skills to the next level, the next venue, and the pieces inside of you waiting to be manifested into notes. When do we start?
Hola! Michael here, I'm an American/Mexican raised in Mexico. I moved to the US to pursue music. I went to Berklee College of Music where I studied Music Production, Composition, and Songwriting! I am now living in Nashville jamming with every person I can meet!

We will study the 12 bar blues progression, it's many variations and how to comp, chord, and solo over theses progressions. We will also cover technique and tone as needed.
I have been playing music for over 30 years, and have been teaching music for almost half of that time. I have performed and recorded throughout the Midwest in a variety of cover and original bands ranging in styles from metal, rock, to R&B/Jazz and Blues. I teach these styles as well. The most

Learn to write, arrange, and produce your own original music! Learn lyric writing, as well as melody coaching, and music theory. Bring in something you're already working on, or start something brand new.
Jameson is a recording artist, songwriter and producer. He is a graduate from the University of Oregon, and holds a BA in Theater Arts, Music and Business. As a vocalist, Jameson sings regularly in a wide variety of styles. He has studied the Alexander Method, Body Mapping, Singing by Speaki
Thanks to Jameson, my voice has been freed. I sing strongly, with control, and with passion any chance I get. The confidence Jameson has giving me in my singing voice is quite honestly, priceless.
Other than the concerts that Jameson sets up himself, he also gave me an opportunity to try out for The Voice. This experience was one of a kind! It was a several day experience where me and a select few other people came to the Tabor Studio and worked on our songs together with multiple coaches to critique our voices so that we would improve for the following day when we actually got to professionally record the songs that we practiced to send to the voice! In addition to this, Jameson helped me place top 10 in the final for Portland Teen Idol, which hosted a few hundred singers. All in all, I regret nothing about my relationship with Jameson. If someone was looking for a vocal coach, Jameson Tabor would be the first person that I would point to."

Bachelors of Music in Musical Theatre from University of Mobile
I LOVE music! I also love helping others find music inside themselves! I was fortunate enough to grow up with a voice teacher for a mother and a choral director for a father, parents who also helped others find their love for music.
Music is an excellent way to tell stories and connect to your audience. I would so enjoy the opportunity to share in these experiences with my students, teaching basics in simple vocal production, developing already attained skills, and coaching performance pieces. While I am very serious about music, I fully believe that these sessions should be FUN. No one wants to put real effort into something that feels like a chore!
I aim to challenge my students in a way that is enjoyable for the student, myself, and the future audiences!!
About My Studio Every person is different, from the way they look on the outside to the way they are constructed on the inside. Because of this, I have learned to be flexible when teaching students, knowing that what works for one student may not work for another. My goal in every voice lesson is

I have been told I mumble when speaking for "some" many years now, even my Mother complains! I started with Michelle right after my 40th birthday this year in Feb.
Michelle's class is something for me to really look forward to every week. She can easily identify some of the reasons I probably "mumble" my words, and is quick to correct the problems, but not at all offensive! If that makes any sense?
She lets me sing songs I like and has a great way of explaining how the sounds should come out.
The whole experience with Takelessons.com has been quite easy, not a lot of pressure. A condition of my raise in salary was that I take some sort of voice course, because my boss could not always understand my messages or conversations! He seems to be very satisfied with my progress.
If you decide to got with Michelle, Which you should, you will really get all that you pay for and much more!
So you know this is not a "glorified" friends review... she has not cats or dogs to play with while you are there..:) But she is a better voice and therapy than you will ever receive anywhere, for you or your children!
If you’re learning how to play piano, chances are you’ve come across the works of famous piano players, such as Rachmaninov, Beethoven, and Chopin. But do you know anything about these famous pianists? Sure these famous piano players wrote and performed some of the most well-known classical music pieces, but their personal lives are equally just as colorful. For example, did you know that Rachmaninov had enormous hands? Or that Beethoven went deaf at the age of 25? Check out …
