As a singer-songwriter with well over 300 live shows across the country - I know performance. I've played in all kinds of venues from coffee shops, colleges, house shows, rock clubs and historic theaters.
Up-level your craft by getting a lesson with me on what to expect when you're about to play a show. What to do and what NOT to do. The right frame of mind, etc! I've learned through so much experience, trial and error. Every show (and every practice, really) is an experience to learn from.
I can help take your songs from the bedroom to the next-level with some live performance guidance and strategy from my decades of experience.

Jazz Guitar Performance from University Of Wisconsin - Milwaukee
Songwriting is an art as well as a craft. In my lessons, I cover basic song structures in a variety of styles including blues, pop, rock, country, and jazz, lyrical content, melodic phrasing, and telling a story. Guitar is my preferred instrument for these lessons, so a background in basic guitar fundamentals is recommended, although some introductory guitar can be included with these lessons.
I received my education at the University of Wisconsin, majoring in Jazz Guitar. I've studied with some of the best guitarists in the Midwest, and have performed live and in recording studios all across the country in a variety of styles (Rock, Metal, Bluegrass, Jazz, Classical, Country). I've perf

Always wanted to learn to play piano? Now is the time! My name is Jerry S. and I am an experienced, patient, gentle teacher, with over 20 years teaching and performing experience. As a performer, I have shared the stage with such recording artists as Herbie (Watermelon Man) H., Mary Wells, Jessi
I think he has students that range from age 7 to 70!
We love Jerry, he is part of our family and my kids absolutely love having him as a teacher!
Jerry is a very skilled pianist and phenomenal piano instructor! Don't let his reasonable rates fool you into thinking that the quality of his teaching is anything less than spectacular. He thoroughly enjoys teaching piano lessons and music theory in many genres to people of all ages, paces himself to assist in your level of understanding, and makes learning to play the piano fun.
My eight year old daughter got a keyboard for Christmas so I decided to get her piano lessons to accompany her new instrument. I began searching for a local piano teacher who was reasonably priced, yet, also experienced with teaching children, and I couldn't have found a better person to do so than Jerry S!
My child had been previously diagnosed with ADHD and ODD so she tends to be very distracted, rambunctious, inquisitive, and defiant at times, however, it's never seemed to phase Jerry at all. He was open minded and seemingly very understanding of her condition. He is very friendly, easy going individual who has always been extremely patient with my child, despite her occasional outbursts.
In conclusion, I honestly feel that we are truly fortunate (and blessed) to have found such an amazing piano instructor, for an affordable rate, who's patient and keeps the student engaged, while also making it a fun filled learning experience to play the piano!

I have over 20 years experience teaching flute players ranging from beginners through advanced. We work hard and have a lot of fun!
Many of my students have had successful auditions for honor/state groups and youth orchestras, and have won scholarships for college. My local students perform several times throughout the year in studio recitals, local flute events and giving back to the community. I work with my online students to find ways for them to perform as well.
I love teaching and watching my student achieve new goals and play things they thought were impossible. Everything takes work, but with repetition, encouragement, and fun, it is all possible!
I believe that each student will be successful when they enjoy learning and experience success. It is my privilege to work with students to achieve their goals in an encouraging, fun, hard-working environment. I have worked for over 20 years with many different kinds of students. Some enjoy play

I'm a moderately capable, mostly self-taught guitar player. I hadn't had a lesson in 40 years when someone recommended Jason to me. I have been impressed since my first lesson with Jason's engaging manner, his love of teaching, and most of all, his ability to teach any style or subject matter that I'm interested in. He has provided me a foundation in music theory and helped me expand my abilities to play in several styles. He makes learning a very enjoyable experience. He's a wonderful guitarist, and obviously loves and is dedicated to his profession. I strongly recommend him to students of any age and skill level. He's great!"
