I teach all aspects of piano pedagogy: reading, technique, theory, harmony, chord vocabulary, ear-training. I work very well with children and beginners, but also cater to older students, especially those students interested in jazz.

I believe in tailoring each lesson to each student's individual abilities and learning methods. For students in school bands, I try to provide lessons that augment and complement what they learn in band class, focusing on areas of performance that may not receive attention in a group setting. For all my students, regardless of level or instrument, I help them learn music that they want to learn, while making sure they get the fundamental training that they need. I encourage and assist my stud

I do my best to make lessons relaxed. I don't ever want a student to be nervous for a lesson with me because they did not practice as much as they think they should. While I encourage as much practice as possible, I care more about a student realizing the positive force that music can be in their lives; music doesn't need to be a stressor.
I graduated from Belmont University in the Spring of 20

During my studies at Roberts I taught percussion and music theory at U-Prep High school for 1 year, and when I wasn't at studying or teaching, I put all my focus on recording.
In 2016 I moved to Nashville to tour with a few artists, after 4 months of traveling I decided to find a band I that I could call my own. Leading me to this moment, where I am currently on tour with my band, The Foxies, and perform with and MD for two other artist based out of Nashville.
Over the years I have traveled with many different acts; performing at Warped Tour, Sundance, SXSW, Bonaroo.
My lessons are not the same for everyone. I like to get to know my students; their personal music goals and
I teach contemporary and musical theater music- my main contemporary focuses are country, folk and pop. I'm a graduate of Berklee College of Music with a concentration in Professional Music, focusing on performance and drama. After learning vocal and breathing techniques, I will guide you on song selection and I'm always happy to work on what you would like to sing! I accompany everyone on piano or guitar. We are also fine to use backing tracks if that helps! I also start every student with basic music theory because I believe it is crucial that vocalists can read music and communicate with other musicians. My main focus is to make you confident and proud of yourself after every lesson. Music is hard work but at its core root, it's fun! I look forward to making music with you!

Back home in California, I managed to be in 4 bands and teach 15 students at two different music schools. I have been playing drums my entire life. I come from a family of musicians and drummers. My father and two brothers also play drums. My father is one who first showed me around the kit when I was just a kid. I have 20 years of experience now. 5 years of teaching experience. I love sharing my knowledge with others and it excites me to do so. I have built my own lesson plans on learning the basics and have proven it works. Working with me, you will become a well rounded drummer. My goal is to have you be able to sit down with any group, any style, and know exactly what to play.
Keep it positive. Keep it fun. Keep it challenging. Progress with be made and you will see results quickly if you stay up on your daily practicing, just like me!
Students can expect to see weekly progress in their drumming in many areas such as coordination, technique, timing, phrasing, and overall musicianship. We will cover playing in many different styles as well including, pop, rock, jazz, funk, hip hop, and many different styles of world music.
As I am also a songwriter, my teachings often keep a focus on playing drums to best support the song. We will learn about different song forms and how they relate to creating appropriate drum parts. We will also develop strategies to learn many songs at a rapid pace.
My credentials include 10+ years of drum experience, playing, touring, and recording with bands/artists
If you are looking to take your drumming to the next level, I'd love to assist you in your journey! Good Luck!
