My pedagogy is constructivist and interdisciplinary . This means students learn Spanish not just from textbooks and exercises but mostly from using and practicing the language through the arts and through their personal experiences with it. Poems, music, plays, movies, podcasts, voiceover, and many other art forms are the main resource of knowledge and go hand in hand with a technical review by the instructor.
I have been extremely passionate about teaching Acting and Spanish for over 10 years (and have been an English as a Second Language student for 30!!) I am a native of Mexico City but made Chicago my home three years ago when I decided to continue my acting career in such a lovely city. (Acting

I've taught English in China for 6 years and in the US for 4 years. Most of my experience is with learners between the ages of 10-25, however for the past year, I have been working with elementary school students in ESL and Special Education as I am working towards becoming a behavioral analyst. I currently have an MA in TEFL/TESL, a BA in Chinese, and currently enrolled in an online graduate program for Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis.
I've taught ESL for 10 years to a wide-range of ages and backgrounds, especially students planning on taking the TOEFL or IELTS tests. I am currently a teaching assistant at an elementary school, working with children with behavioral disorders and learning disabilities. Although I have my MA in TEF

I grew up in South Korea half of my life and I talk in Korean with my family and my Korean friends all the time. Learning a new language is very difficult, however, with my help, I can definitely get someone to a point where they can understand Korean without stressing out. I have been volunteering as a Korean language teacher in church for 4 years before moving to Los Angeles.

BACHELOR DEGREE IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS AND TRADE from Universita' degli Studi di Verona
I was born in Italy and lived there for 36 years. I went to school there and I have a Bachelor Degree from one of the oldest Universities in Europe, the University of Verona. Before college, I attended the Liceo Linguistico, where I extensively studied Italian Grammar in connection to Latin, French and German. I can honestly say I master the Italian grammar in all of its structures.
I am professional, flexible and I strive to meet my students’ goals no matter what level that they are at. I plan, prepare, and deliver lessons tailored to a range of age groups, levels, individual goals and interests. I myself speak 4 languages and studied Latin in addition to that, and I believe that exposure is the only way to really learn another language. This is why I use conversation on regular basis during my lessons, to make sure my students can actively use what they are learning with confidence, starting with simple phrases and then gradually build up to more complex ones.
Please note ...
I was born and raised in Vicenza, an hour west from Venice. My husband is American, we met in Italy and after living together there for 15 years, we decided to move back to the US last Summer. We have two kids, 7 and 4, who are perfectly bilingual. I have always enjoyed teaching English to little
