Spanish is my second language. My mother was a Spanish teacher in the elementary school level and used music as an amazing resource for teaching Spanish to kids. I'll use the same techniques and ideas, as well as focusing on reading and writing the very romantic language.
About Olivia
Music and film are both passions of mine. I graduated from Berklee College of Music where I studied Songwriting and Music Therapy. I was pushed to my absolute limits lyrically and musically within these majors, and I am so grateful for it now that I'm on my own creative journey.
I have a great deal of experience, but I am also still learning. I think it is very important as a teacher to always be learning, especially through their students. Teaching these lessons is, of course, about progress and advancement - but also about enjoyment, confidence building and positive encouragement.

CloseMy students will learn how to read, write, and speak the language. I am fluent in the language and have tutored others in the language since I was in college. It's a wonderful and useful language to learn.
About Michael
As far as teaching baseball, I played for a Division 1 team in college. I also worked in one of the largest baseball camps in the Northeast, the New York Baseball Academy, throughout my entire collegiate career. I taught children the fundamentals of hitting and fielding in a way that was fun and easy to learn.

Hi! My name is Kate and I've been teaching Spanish for more than 4 years. I have DELE certificate (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language). I taught in private schools and online. Also I had some experience of translation and I combined 2 jobs (translator and teacher) for 3 years.
I'm from Ukraine so my native languages are Ukrainian and Russian but I started learning Spanish when I was 9. I studied in Spanish school so I have been learning it for almost 20 years and I keep on learning new things. I've had a lot of practice with people from Spain and Latin America so I can explain you the difference between these languages.
I travelled to Spain some times and I worked in one of Spanish speaking countries in Africa. Also I worked in a Spanish company in Kiev for one year. Now I'm 27 and currently I live in the USA. I use Spanish every day and I continue doing my favorite work - teaching people.

I have a BA from the University of Texas in Austin in Spanish. But where did I really learn Spanish? I grew up in Texas and had great Spanish speaking friends which influenced my ability to understand and "feel" the language.
I do know textbook Spanish and can help with verb conjugation and the like, but I intuitively know inflection and how to use it.
I can explain how to manipulate the muscles of your mouth to make the sounds a native speaker makes. So, if you'd like to sound like a native speaker and want more than just correct grammar, I'm the one for you!
Especially for children, I like to use songs and games. I believe these work for adults, too, but I will let the adult learner decide.
About Marsha
I grew up around Spanish and music and have never stopped loving them.
Spanish has been in my ears since I was a newborn, my nanny spoke nothing but Spanish to me for the first 18 months of my life. When I did learn to speak, I spoke nothing but English to her-what a stinker I was. She was a member of my extended family, so she wasn’t the only one I heard speak Spanish. Apparently, I understood everything but was too stubborn to use anything but English…well, I am not that way any more.
I've been playing music for 94.444% of my life,

Should kids learn Spanish differently from adults, or does it matter? Find out in this guest post by Honolulu tutor Jinan B... We've all heard that children are like sponges and can pick up language very easily.
