I've been reading and writing stories and poems for most of my life, and I love sharing my love of literature with others. I hate boring classes so I do my best to make lessons interactive and student focused. I have earned an MFA in Creative writing from Fairfield University, an MA in Liberal studies with a focus on Literature from Rutgers University, and I hold three other degrees in various subjects including a BA in English. I am a proud member of Mensa and a retired Air Force veteran.

Come join our class and practice your English. The conversation will be fun and enjoyable. We will discuss a variety of topics or whatever you want to practice. Also, please feel free to ask any questions you have about the English language. As a bonus we will also work on pronunciation. The class is facilitated by a Native English and Spanish speaker who will be there to guide you through the learning process.

Mensa, the high IQ society, provides a forum for intellectual exchange among its members. There are members in more than 100 countries around the world. Activities include the exchange of ideas through lectures, discussions, journals, special-interest groups, and local, regional, national and international gatherings; the investigations of members' opinions and attitudes; and assistance to researchers, inside and outside Mensa, in projects dealing with intelligence or Mensa.

Whether you are new to English writing or are ready to take the next step, I strive to personalize classes to help each individual student excel. I focus on developing clear and concise writing and on helping students develop and improve on their creative work.

Ivan is one of the best teachers here and always with full of patient and passion sharing us poem and literature. He also helps me a lot in pronounce.

Ivan's love of sharing literature with students helps me learn new vocabulary words and develops the comprehensibility of the offered content.
 
He's a deep personality with a nice sense of humor and is always ready to learn alongside the student. His ability to reflect on his teaching style brings a mutual understanding of the student's needs and works efficiently towards improving one's English skills. I like that he feels free to revise the content until it is fully 'digested' by the student.

Instructions for reducing the accent in English are being very productive in his classes.

Ivan is a great teacher. Even in my first class, he taught me a lot. He is very kind and patient and takes a genuine interest in each student.
