My name is Ash and I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I am proud to be Deaf and I love sharing my culture by teaching others. I am happily married to my wife, Sheilah, and I have a wonderful bonus son named Max who will soon be turning 11. Our family enjoys traveling, teaching, and volunteering together.

The Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc. Greetings! My name is Ash, and I hail from Tulsa, Oklahoma. As a proud member of the Deaf community, I am thrilled to extend my passion for American Sign Language (ASL) to you. With over five years of teaching experience under my belt, I am confident in my ability to guide you through the fundamentals of ASL. 

My teaching style is characterized by patience, encouragement, and a deep appreciation for the nuances of ASL. Learning a new language is a remarkable feat, and I am honored to assist you on this exciting journey. It is my utmost priority to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where you feel empowered to express yourself freely. 

To facilitate optimal learning outcomes, all of my classes will be conducted in a voice-off and sign-only format. This immersive technique will enable you to cultivate your receptive and expressive skills with ease.

I was suppose to start with Ash Back in September however I missed my first lesson from September the November 10th Ash canceled 7 classes and gave various reasons each time. Finally he told me He wouldn't be able to teach at the time I selected even though the teachers make their own schedules it was a very bad introductory to take lessons however I have found a new instructor and am now on my way two months latter

Ash has been a wonderful instructor who has really helped me progress in my signing.  He is very patient and makes things very clear.

I enjoyed the lesson. I’ve learned many words!

Ash is an AMAZING teacher. I was very hesitant to take ASL, knowing very little about the language. Ash has made my learning experience, accessible, exciting, challenging and fun. His personable and patient manner make him an excellent teacher. Hihgly recommended!

Today was my daughter’s first day and we’re off to a great start!

Had such a great lesson.  Ash is fantastic at explaining things and is very encouraging.  Loved it-can’t wait for next lesson.

We started with vocabulary to develop a baseline for instruction. He answered questions that I had during the lesson and explained concepts that I had forgotten.

Very patient and friendly, I enjoyed working with him! I like that he gives you a chance to ask what you want to learn and spends a few mins working on your goals, as well as his lesson plan!

What an amazing teacher! I took his online classes & I learned a lot of things. He helped me to improving my sign language skill.

My daughter Lidi and I absolutely loved learning to sign with Ash. He is very patient and kind which was perfect for a beginner and baby. I can’t wait to take more classes and be able to communicate and understand more.
