I began my musical education at the age of seven studying piano. Students will learn to play piano or horn in a pleasant atmosphere. Additionally they will learn elements of music theory so they can quickly start to play on their own. This will broaden their understanding of music and they will be able play pieces they like. I have method books and studies for any level of playing, but students are welcome to bring their own. I loved Ms. Anna's enthusiasm and constructive criticism. I have been playing horn for 7 years, and this was my first lesson. I have a ways to go, but I loved how she was willing to help me and give me tips in ways that you wouldn't get in your typical band class. I am definitely looking forward to our lessons!! 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for lessons, whether it is your first or your 100th

Anna is a great teacher. We started off with 10 lessons to give our 11 year old son a head start as he was keen to switch from Trombone to French Horn. With Anna's help, he made it! French Horn is a difficult instrument to play compared to other brass woodwind instruments, and finding Anna to help our son has been really beneficial. The Pedagogical Foundations Of EnglishCentral

Ines is an excellent instructor. Her patience and ability to identify strategies to help progress my Spanish fluency are things that I found remarkle about her abilities as a tutor. I started off our lessons at the beginner level and now feel that I am at a level where I can comfortably maintain a conversation with a fellow Spanish speaker. Thanks for not giving up on me, and for forcing me to speak only Spanish, Ines!

We met through a mutual friend and clicked right away. Inés is an outgoing person, and always willing to help. I told her I loved the Spanish language and would love to learn the basics. She offered to help out. She was always very patient with my pronunciation, which made me feel better. She would say it as often as needed for me to get it. And I personally think that this is a must, when learning a different language. I would definitely recommend Inés for just anybody who wants to learn Spanish. Also young kids, cause they love her! She is just so very easy to love and have around!
Inés still helps me with my Spanish from time to time, but the fact that I live on the other side of the ocean, doesn't help much.

I am currently a Junior at Harvard University majoring in East Asian Studies with a specific focus on Japan and Japanese media. On campus I am also Co-President of the Harvard College Japan Initiative, a student-run organization that hosts an annual Japanese career fair. I also work at the Yenching Library on campus in the Japanese Collection. I have taken the equivalent of five years of intensive Japanese classes at Harvard University during my three years here, earning top scores in each class, for which I was awarded Harvard's Tazuko Ajiro-Monane Prize by the Japanese Language Department. The classes I've taken include both traditional language classes as well as the advanced classes which focus on academic writing, Business Japanese, and academic debate on issues in the social sciences. In addition, I have taken intensive Japanese classes in Japan, both at the Ishikawa Prefecture International Exchange Center and the Inter-University Center for Japanese Studies, the latter of which offers the most advanced intensive Japanese courses available and is primarily aimed at graduate and post-graduate students.

Given my academic experience and awards, extensive experience living and working in Japan and Japanese environments, and my familiarity with the language, I can be of great assistance for Japanese tutoring of all varieties--whether it be help with test prep, high school or university classes, or business, academic, or casual Japanese. I own most commercially available and reputable Japanese textbooks and learning resources (including those written in Japanese), so I'd love to incorporate them into our lessons as well.

Rebecca was patient and understanding teacher who motivated and encouraged my son.
