About Judy

I started taking music lessons at the age of 9. It began playing in the church and then I taught lessons in my home at the age of 16. My daughter started piano as a beginner about a year ago with Judy. She LOVES going to her lessons and has done really well with the piano. Judy is a WONDERFUL teacher always encouraging my daughter and making learning fun! Since my mother was a piano teacher, I wanted my daughter to have strong background in theory. Judy is certainly giving her that and I am thrilled! I am very pleased!

My Favorite Teacher

I have taken voice lessons from Ms. Judy 5 years and I now am a lead vocalist at my church and have so much confidence with my capabilities now. She is the best teacher I've ever had and I recommend her to anyone ready to reach that next level in their skills no matter beginning or advanced.
Justine D. San Diego, CA

About Justine

I love music and believe in its ability to bring people together. It's been a part of my life since I was 5, practicing piano at home in Michigan. Music was a big part of every single one of my school years, and I was lucky enough to be able to double major in music and psychology at Kalamazoo College once I graduated from high school. My passion for music has taken me abroad, to London, where I studied Western & Russian art music and took classes in popular music studies at Goldsmiths College, University of London. It spurred my move across the country to New York, where I developed a better understanding of how important creativity is to all of us -- especially musicians! -- at Teachers College, Columbia University. And, most importantly, it's allowed me to do what I love ...

I had apprehension about an ON line guitar class, however I live very remotely in the mountains of CO and finding a teacher to work with wasn't easy...FORTUNATELY, that was the case, because I found Justine! She is knowledgable, is very tuned into MY pace, and has the flexibility I need with my unpredictable scheduling needs. I can now pick up the guitar and play a tune and sing along, and am learning more and more each time. I can't say enough about her!

Amelia is a great teacher! My 8-year-old daughter has been learning with her since last October, and my daughter has improved quite a bit. They practice a lot of voice exercises together, and that has helped immensely. At her talent show, the audience was amazed with her singing ability! I would definitely recommend Amelia.

Batu has been teaching my two girls, 5 and 7 year old, chess. The lessons have been great, not only he teaches them the fundamentals, he also changes his teaching methods to match their needs. He relates them and makes the lessons fun and exciting. I'd suggest everybody to try his lessons out, not only chess.

It was a very productive lesson. Ben was able to teach a lot of things in the limited time given, and he gives enough material to work on that can easily last me a week. He makes his lessons enjoyable and educational at the same time.

Although it was the first lesson , It is obvious Ben is very good on teaching. His approach is totally according to student's needs and level (it is very important!) He is very kind person and explains the things very well .My 13 years old daughter liked his teaching so much. Most important for us,was He does not start with boring cliches which you can find anywhere in the planet . You start to play with Ben from the first lesson. He is also very cooperative and flexible and open for the new ideas and requests. I strongly recommend him for all level guitarists , especially who already knows a few things and wants to improve to next level . Regards

I am an experienced pianist and flutist, but I wanted to learn the violin for the sake of my soul! Ms. Madeline was able to craft a custom-designed lesson plan that perfectly matched my own needs and musical level. She is fun, laughs a lot, and the lesson flies by. I'm inspired to practice, and can't wait until our next lesson. I am especially impressed with her own level of musical ability, as I have seen her perform in numerous orchestra, ballet and opera performances. She is a gem!

I played guitar in middle school and began to learn violin in 10th grade. Madeline helped me learn scales and studies, and encouraged me to practice by awarding me with special arrangements (my favorites being Lord of the Rings and the Legend of Zelda theme songs.) As a freshman in college now, I'm studying biology but still participating in a local community orchestra. Madeline made lessons fun, and helped me with my AP music theory homework too. Strongly recommended.
