Rene H.

Conroe, TX

About Rene

Through my experience teaching I have found that music is a bridge that brings people together. With that being said I am very laid back, my whole goal is to make the learning process a fun one. When I was being taught I find that I learn more when I am enjoying myself, so this is the type of environment I strive to create for my students. I can specialize in guitar, such as rock/shred/blues/ and classical. I would say my strong points are in that of shred and classical, so all you shredders, I’m your guy! I have guitars and amps on hand if need be. I also specialize in drums such as rock and metal. I have roughly 16 years of experience on the kit. I can teach fundamentals like rudiments and how to apply them to the kit. If double bass is your thing, once again I’m your guy. For

It is hard to describe someone with a musical gift like Rene H.

Rene is an excellent teacher. Takelessons is very fortunate to have Rene's professional, knowledgeable, and musical talent. He is easy to work with. He's down to Earth and knows how to communicate with me. Also, he makes it fun and enjoyable to learn vocals. Takelessons has a great teacher on their side and deserves respect as a human-being and a mentor.

About Julie

Hello, my name is Beth S. I am a professional Singer/Actress/Entertainer with 20 years of hands on experience. Most importantly, I am one of the last proteges of the late great world renown vocal coach, Judy Davis. I have developed an exciting curriculum based on my 4 yrs. with my beloved friend and mentor Judy Davis, (cut & paste into your browser "Judy Davis/Vocal Coach to the Stars" for more information) and now I want to share them with you. These lessons really work! I will teach you what she taught me and many legends of our time, such as Barbara Streisand, Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. These lessons are not your average singing lessons and I am not your average singing teacher. I paid a fortune for these lessons and now I want to share her work with you. But wait, there's ...

Great Teacher!

Last year I started acting and singing lessons with Julie. She is wonderful. Very professional, and definitely knows what she's doing. She's very patient, and helped me with different vocal/acting exercises and gave me a lot of information I would need for acting and singing. Unfortunately, I had to stop taking lessons with her over the summer as I was unavailable to meet with her, but I am lucky enough to begin lessons with her again next week. I'm super excited to be seeing her again; Julie is an excellent teacher!

Talented Vocal Coach!

I've been taking lessons with Julie for a little more than 2 months now and I have seen major improvement in my voice. She teaches it in a way that helps me understand why we do the exercises that we do and answers any questions that I have. I was always kind of embarrassed to sing in front of people in the fear of not hitting some notes, but Julie is easy to be around and provides a comfortable environment for lessons. She is very patient and wants to see you reach your goals for whatever you wish to pursue with your voice.

awesome voice coach!

Julie really helped my daughter improve her vocal range by several notes in both directions and also assisted in preparing her for her performance. She is really flexible with the student's needs and personality and my daughter loves working with her. She goes beyond just being a teacher, she is very supportive and we love her for that too.

Sara J.**

Tomball, TX

About Sara

Born in Washington DC, I have been singing and studying voice since the age of 4. Starting out as a Broadway style belter and transitioning to opera mid-way through University, I have experienced many different vocal techniques and teachers. My voice was not an easy one to train and it took many years of searching to find a healthy technique that worked for me. For this reason I am dedicated to understanding each students vocal differences and help them reach the height of their potential. As a teacher I tailor my lessons to each individual student's needs and wants. Together we work to find a healthy and sustainable singing technique for different styles of music. I also focus on all aspects of being a performer and will improve consistency, musicianship and dramatic ...

Leni B.

Magnolia, TX

About Leni

BA in Music, composition and conducting from Hunter College (City University of New York) Diploma from the Conservatoire de Fontainebleau, France Studied with Louise Talma, Jacques Louis Monod, Nadia Boulanger Lessons are about learning to make music, not endless scales and arpeggios which so often lead to pain and injury. Sight reading, theory and interpretation are strong elements from the beginning. An overwhelming percentage of young, enthusiastic and talented children are discouraged early and give up the piano because they do not enjoy their lessons. Music is one of life's great joys. It should be fun. For the intermediate, and even the advanced, student, it is critical that much more attention be paid to the musicality of the playing and the understanding of the music.

Mr. Leni B. is second to none. He holds a BA degree in music, piano, composition and conducting from Hunter College, the largest college in The City University of New York and obtains a Diploma from the Conservatoire de Fontainebleau, France, I have no doubt about his talents and expertise. His knowledge is tremendously fabulous. What a true musician he is! As an adult, I wonder if Mr. Leni B. would be patient with me. The answer is yes. He patiently teaches me, and corrects my hands using the Taubman Approach to avoid chronical hand, wrist and muscle injuries. I am incredibly grateful to have him for my piano teacher. His passion and dedication are beyond excellent and have been transferred to me. I have brought home with a lot of inspiration after each lesson. I love his analysis and interpretation of each beautiful piece of music. The atmosphere he creates is lovely, friendly, welcoming and open. It is fun to study under his supervision. His encouragement is another key for me to practice the piano everyday. I am absolutely proud of him. It is even multipled when I have figured out he has more talents than just music and piano which are already amazing. Mr. Leni B. is the best teacher because he teaches from the heart not from the book. He is too good to be true.

I highly recommend Mr. Leni B. to anyone who wants to take piano lessons for fun or seriously.

An Amazing Teacher and Musician

I have had Leni as a teacher, and a friend, for several years. I am amazed at how far I have come, and I feel that the technique and the theory behind the methods he teaches are incredible and imperative to the progress I have made, both on the piano and in other areas of music. The atmosphere that he creates is a welcoming and stimulating learning environment. The Taubman technique that he teaches is understandable, helpful, and it is the most successful way to avoid long-term injury to the hands and wrists. I am incredibly grateful to him for his dedication and passion for his work and his students.
