Teresa was awesome! She worked with me and my limited flexibility and really set me up for success with exercises to integrate into my routine. She was also very cognizant of a prior injury and presented long term alternate solutions to tissue regrowth. I really look forward to working with her again!

She was really great, we have only had one lesson so far but she made me feel very comfortable and I feel like she will be perfect for me helping me get over my stage fright. She came up with quite a few ideas up front and can tell she is taking it seriously, which makes me even more confident in her because it is such a serious issue for me. I am looking forward to working with her.

I focus on Machine sewing. I don't like hand sewing so i avoid it; however, i do know several stitches and when they are preferable. I really enjoy creating the projects that we will make together step by step; however, if you find a pattern you like, i can walk you through how to do it!

I learned to sew as a child and have made many items; from skirts and pajama pants, and stuffed animals to quilted Christmas stalkings!

I tend to work in cotton materials, but have some tips and pointers for other fabrics as well!

I am not a fashion designer! I can follow a pattern, alter patterns, and even create simple patterns, and i can show you how to do the same. anything beyond that is beyond me!!

About Kat
Hi there!

My name is Kat and I'm really looking forward to learning something fun with you! I consider myself a wannabe Glass Artist. I am currently working on a dinosaur quilt- completely done out of fused glass screen printed with glass powders.

I did not study Education at school, but for nearly two years i taught glass fusing and basic sewing (ages 5-93) at a great art facility (no longer in business). I have been providing private lessons since September 2014.

I have a BA in Art History from CU Boulder and a Masters in Art Museum and Gallery Studies from Newcastle University. I grew up sewing, learned to knit just over 10 years ago, and got into quilting about 4 years ago (when I got my own machine and could stop borrowing my moms.) My first experience with glass was 6 years ago and I've been hooked ever since!

I c
onsider myself a patient, fun, and encouraging instructor. I like to cater each lesson to your individual desires and ability while being fun and challenging. Sometimes you gotta go back to basics but i try to do so in a way that encourages and exemplifies growth.

I'm located in the South Denver Metro area. I will meet at several different libraries, your home, or online!!

I hope to work with you and help you reach your artistic goals, the grander the better!!

I’ve taught garment construction, sketching and CAD design classes (Adobe Suite) for five years and have over 17 years of experience in the fashion industry. I have taught these skills to adolescents and adults in various programs including: Day and evening classes in afterschool s, summer programs
As a teacher, my main goal is to motivate students to do their best and extend their own personal limits. I devise programs, according to syllabus requirements, that expand on previous knowledge and encourage students to explore new and interesting possibilities. I had a tight time schedule to finish a summer project before I went in for surgery and Hasaan was very sensitive to that. He was able to teach me new skills in pattern making and cutting that made the process easier/ more accurate as well as sewing techniques. I would say my experience with him was very positive and he was always cheerful and and in a great mood and helped me out a lot with my project. I would definitely recommend using him for lessons.

Hasaan Roselle has taught and directed our summer camp program, Camp Fashion Design for four years now. His passion for fashion is clearly evident as he steps our campers through the basics of sketching and fashion construction. Girls are intrigued and motivated as he shares with them his knowledge of fashion and his many years of experience in the industry. Moreover, his easy going personality and his attention to every detail make him a wonderful choice for a fashion design instructor. We have found him to be patient, caring and considerate with our students as they learn the intricate ins and outs of this sometimes overwhelming industry. Not only is he encouraging, he also allows students to step 'outside of the box' and to explore new ideas instead of always following the conventional path. We like that a lot. This is how the next generation of new, young designers is created! We highly recommend his services and we look forward to him joining us once again next summer at Camp Fashion Design!

Sewing safety and how to use a machine, the sewing tools you'll need, how to read, cut out, layout, and follow pattern instructions, how to sew different stitches and using the correct length, pin and sew a seam, finish seams and sew hems, sew a zipper or an elastic waistband.
~We will be working towards sewing a basic pattern (i.e. tote, PJ bottoms, etc) or whichever project the student brings in
~To get the most out of your lessons I highly recommend doing at least an hour long session
~A lesson plan will be sent to the student before their first lesson outlining the guidelines and key skills you will be learning each session.

Intermediate students must know all of the above and can bring in their own project. I also offer overlock/serger lessons if interested.

About Karla
Hello! My name is Karla and I love all things artsy and crafty. I learned to sew when I was 9 and have been improving my skills since then by taking classes or just trying things out on my own. I'm currently taking classes to get certified as a Pattern Maker, which is another passion of mine linked to the fashion industry. I've also spent the last year and a half building my Etsy shop for custom designed clothing for women and children. Since I also have my degree in Theater and Dance I enjoy being a freelance costume designer for dance or theater companies; creating custom designs for their shows.

Sewing Machine, check! Material, check! I can help you bring the two together with knowledge and care as your sewing instructor. Whether you have a specific project in mind that you'd like help with, or maybe you just need some help getting back into sewing, each class is tailored to make the skills you have shine, while you absorb new ones.

About KIM
I am a fashion samplemaker, and a devoted sewing teacher! My greatest joy is seeing my students master new skills, empower themselves through crafting their own style, and applying their learning throughout their lives. I maintain a blog on Tumblr where you can see some current and past fashion samplemaking work (as released by the designer themselves) as well as video tutorials that I've made.

While I am patient, my enthusiasm is palpable during each lesson. Each lesson is designed for maximum student engagement using a show-not-tell approach. Sewing is a hands-on enterprise! So, I do my best to empower each student with each lesson.

I found Kim after looking for someone to make me some custom athletic tank tops for the gym. After meeting her, I chose to learn how to sew instead, because she did a good job of making sewing make sense to me. To say I felt awkward my first time in a sewing store as a 6'6" bodybuilder the understatement of my life.

She took me from knowing nothing at all about sewing to being able to make my own work-out tops. Then she taught me how to make work shirts, and soon together we will start making my first pair of pants. (If you're as tall as I am, you know this is a very big deal.)

Friends and coworkers, for the first time, they're seeing me in clothes that fit my arms and shoulders properly and they ask where I got them. I feel really good about that, and I don't have rashes under my armpits from too-tight "XL" shirts.

If she can get my burly dopey butt to learn to sew, she can teach anyone.

She also has a stocked sewing studio. Most lessons I go there to learn, but I've also had her visit my place. I prefer to go there, if you need a button or fabric, she probably has it, and will let you buy muslin from her instead of taking a special trip to the Garment District to get it.

I have been sewing for 25 years (Since I was 7). I can teach you anything you want to know from basic beginner sewing to the most advanced techniques. I can also show you how to draft your own patterns (including children's and menswear).

How to use speciality machine feet to make sewing straight much easier.

I have both regular machines and sergers in my studio and can teach you how to sew both non-stretch and stretch fabrics.

About Anne
I am available to teach Sewing, Pattern Making and Fashion Design lessons from my home studio in Broomfield. I also teach French lessons.

I have been sewing since I was 7 years old and while I do know how to use a sewing pattern I prefer to make my own, I always have.

I just recently finished an associates degree in Pattern Making, Fashion Design, adding a lot of standard technique to my own methods. I can teach you anything from the simplest basics to how to sew stretch fabrics.

In Fashion Design I can teach you the basics of fashion drawing and show you how to translate those designs into patterns that you can sew together.

My goal as a teacher is to help you achieve your goals. I know that we all learn at a different pace.

Anne is a great sewing instructor. I was able to understand how to use a sewing machine and am more comfortable using one. The pillow case project I worked on was a fun project to do. The easiest way to learn how to sew is by doing it and practicing. It's definitely easier learning how to sew with the teacher next to you and answering your questions. I highly recommend Anne as a sewing instructor.
