Learn to dance with Ferlyn! My History of Hip Hop: I have been teaching Hip Hop since my Junior year in High School for my first choreographed piece. With over 25 years of experience, I make sure that everyone gains the ability to have a fun and dance environment. My Teaching Method: I assess each students' levels, knowledge and styles of learning, determine the best learning paths to incorporate into the lesson and bring a "natural movement" approach of training and education. With my method, this is to provide a collaborative & supportive environment as well as actively develop a person's life, culture and well-being. I've been a Hip-hop dancer for 10 years and have training from Beyonce, Justin Bieber, & Usher's choreographers. I'll have you looking like a Step Up dancer in no time! I specialize in popping, waving, gliding, isolations, and tutting with an emphasis on musicality. You'll learn the foundation of Hip-hop movements then how to perform choreography and freestyle, so you can adapt the moves to any song. We'll learn a different piece of unique choreography every lesson while going through each element of the routine at your own pace.

My dance classes are unique because its less technical and more into feeling the movement. How do you feel when you do the movement? I take my time teaching you the steps. You will leave my class feeling confident and exciting in your new journey.

I am a teacher of twelve years and I love what I do! My hop hop lessons focus on conditioning, isolations, fluidity, musicality, and strength. This can include warm up, stretch, technical exercises, across the floor, choreography, and freestyle. My main goal is that my students have fun in addition to benefitting from our lesson. I have over 15 years experience teaching dance! I teach ages 3 all the way into adults! From basic/beginner levels all the way to mentoring professional dancers who are actively working in the industry! I focus on basic/beg levels in ballet/contemporary, basic - pro hip-hop, also heels choreography for my adults and stretch & conditioning classes. I’m a one stop shop!
