My passion for the violin is undeniable but changing lives with this beautiful instrument and bringing the best out of YOU is what I thrive for! I create a fun and exciting atmosphere along with my 16+ years of experience to turn anyone into a passionate violinist.

I have had major events happen in my life which inspired me to become a mental health advocate/musician, which music is therapeutic and have been devoted to being someone who’s caring, diverse, determined and understanding. I make learning an instrument very exciting, enjoyable for all ages, whether you’re just getting started or already have experience (Beginners/Intermediate). It’s an unforgettable journey that you could always rely on to be exciting and efficient!

In 2003 I started playing the violin and became concert master (first chair) in my orchestra from Aug. 2003 - May 2012. During that time period, I performed in an honors orchestra from 2005 - 2007. After graduating high school in May 2012, I continued ...

Hands Down the best violin teacher in the Sacramento area! From the flexibility she has with time to the amazing way she teaches. I am a beginner who couldn’t even read music. I told her that was what I was most concerned about. I was able to learn not only to read music but also the background to the music I was learning. To me that was key to learning. Will definitely recommend to anyone that wants to learn the violin!!

I highly recommend Jaclyn. My son was struggling with his practices, she worked with him and gave him the confidence to succeed.

"Dave is an awesome instructor who truly understands how to reach an adult learner like me. I have about 9 years experience playing acoustic guitar and was worried about making the jump to electric. Dave is teaching me many of the steps I missed or thought I could work around. His knowledge of music theory, and more importantly, his ability to relay it to me in a practical/attainable manner has been invaluable. I've had several teachers before but Dave is really making it click. Also, I appreciate his approach to web-based materials so that I know exactly where to find answers outside of our sessions. I'll be a client as long as he'll have me and intend to have him teach my son guitar when the time is right!"

"I’ve been a percussionist for decades and have been very fortunate to find such a great tabla instructor in the Denver area. Nabin is not just a great performer he is also an exceptional teacher. Even though my background is in rock and Latin music he has been able to help me understand the concepts of Hindustani music and rhythm and we are working towards developing a performance composed of all the major elements of a traditional tabla solo. It’s the most interesting style of music I have come across. I would imagine Nabin can teach to all skill levels and backgrounds as he has been able to tailor a program of study specifically to my abilities and even to my schedule. If you are interested I can’t recommend him enough...and you should do it! We need more tablas resounding in Colorado! (Image is of some of my tablas)"

"Serena isn't only a talented pianist, she's a skilled instructor as well. She teaches everything you need to understand piano theory, improve finger strength and agility and acquire the best hand posture.

Serena tailors her lessons towards her student. Depending on my weekly progress, she recommended a detailed routine to consolidate my weaknesses and push me to improve.

Finally, Serena is eloquent and friendly. She explains things in a simple manner and does her best to understand you, your lifestyle and your objectives, all to provide the best experience . And she totally nails it.

Thank you Serena! :D"

"Peter got right down to business and it is clear he knows what he is doing. My son is 5 and Peter kept his attention for the full 30 minutes, which is really saying something. At the end of the first lesson, my son was introduced to and could repeat note names; could play a five-note scale; and was learning his right hand from his left. I myself went to Juilliard and Yale for music and am so pleased Peter will be teaching our child(ren)."

"We were so lucky to have been referred to Tommy. Our middle school son wanted to branch out from playing the upright/classic bass, to electric bass and acoustic guitar. Tommy worked with our son for nearly 2 years. Tommy was always reliable, always prompt, always polite and 100% committed to the music and to our son's personal progress & improvement. He was always flexible, upbeat and easy to work with...with the patience of a saint...esp. for the parent who knows nothing about guitar. A huge talent!"

How to Write Lyrics: Steps to Success for Any Musical Style

Interested in learning how to write lyrics and songs? Here, New Jersey guitar teacher Matthew H. explains an easy 3-step process to follow...  Songwriting is not easy; just ask any composer or lyricist. While the musical composition is highly important (making sure the melody is catchy without sounding too trite), having a strong, relatable message to go along with a great tune is just as, if not more, important. Here are some tips on how to write lyrics for a good song. 1) What is …
