Acrylic classes in a hands on class tailored to your skill level, style and subject matter preference.
For the first class I would provide materials and then give you recommendations on materials that you could purchase.

About Teresita

ART: I love making art accessible to everyone. I am passionate about helping people get in touch with the artist that lives within them. Many people think they're "not good at art" but my philosophy is that you can be good at art as long as it makes you feel something. If you enjoy it, that's good

Terri has been a great teacher with my children. She elicits cooperation without being authoritarian. My kids are always asking when class is and are super excited when she rings our doorbell. I can't imagine a better endorsement

Having a great time learning watercolor from Teresita! She's very clear with her instructions and super patient with me. She incorporates art theory into every class combined with an enjoyable exercise/piece.

Lia was an AMAZING meditation teacher! She was calm, patient and very 'Zen' for our entire lesson, which really helped me to relax and calm down myself. Her instructions were easy to follow and I was able to achieve a deep level of relaxation normally absent from my meditations! Using the skills and techniques I learned from Lia, I now have a much easier time getting into 'the zone' every time I sit down to meditate :) thanks Lia!

I teach what you want to learn. Lessons may include: Basic or advanced techniques. Mixing vibrant hues. Wet-on-wet. Dry brush. Masking. Glazing. Dew drops on flowers. Textures--using salt, layering, sponges, scratching, lifting, etc. Considering your light source. Loosening up. Taking care of brushes. Paper selection. Painting outdoors in the open air, from photographs, or from still lifes. Using your phone to help you edit your painting. All levels--from beginner to advanced. Demonstrations on creating watercolors in the style of famous watercolorists.

Subject matter can include landscapes, seascapes, florals, abstracts, still life, color grids, and more.

Additionally, you can schedule a lesson and let me know that you want to use it as a critique to review some of your work. I recommend the 45 minute session for a critique.

"Moataz is a really great instructor who is very knowledgeable about lettering. We started with the basics of letters, such as proportions and different writing instruments. I felt like I left my lesson with a good foundation of what lettering is all about. He also pointed me to some very good online resources to help me with my learning. I only did one lesson because I just wanted a quick primer, but would definitely recommend Moataz for anyone interested in pursuing this art further."
