DAVID IS AN OUTSTANDING TEACHER IN EVERY RESPECT. HIS KNOWLEDGE OF SPANISH SEEMS EXCELLENT, AND HIS INTEREST IN THIS LANGUAGE IS CLEARLY VERY STRONG. THIS ALLOWS CLOSE ANALYSIS OF SPANISH, AND STANDS AS A SIGNIFICANT BENEFIT TO THE DIDACTIC PROCESS. IN TURN THIS PROMOTES A SPIRIT OF LEARNING IN CLASS WHICH IS INFORMATIVE AND GOOD FUN. FINALLY HIS KNOWLEDGE OF SPANISH/ENGLISH COGNATES AND INDO-EUROPEAN ROOTS IS UNUSUALLY BROAD, WHICH MAKES LEARNING SPANISH WITH HIM EASY AND ENTERTAINING. I BELIEVE DAVID HAS A TRUE VOCATION FOR TEACHING, AND I HOPE I CAN GO ON WITH LESSONS WITH HIM FOR SOME TIME TO COME.

I've been teaching English for 7 years and my students have gone on to develop a deep love of the American culture, study abroad, and more! Within the first few lessons, you'll start speaking simple sentences and as time goes on, you'll be able to conjugate like a pro!

About Daniel
I love teaching, I can teach you at where you at and take you where you need to be. I only need a student with the desire to learn and to practice.

I like to help students realize they have the intelligence and ability to solve the problems on their own, they just need the right direction. Nothing is too difficult once we understand how to do it!

I've been tutoring professionally since 2012, starting by helping other Dartmouth students with their essays. And what I saw shocked me...

...Even Ivy League students didn't know how to write!

I was lucky to have a rockstar English teacher in high school, but it was at Dartmouth where I spent hours with professors on weekends, going over essays, seeing what the best teachers in the world (according to US News & World Report 2013) thought made a perfect essay.

Now that I've "cracked the code" I can teach your student the simple tricks. Trust me, it's easier to learn how to write when you're young--it makes the rest of your life so much easier.

In 2019, China's largest college-prep company saw how I was helping students and asked me to lecture for them in 10 major cities in China.

Now, not only do I tutor essay writing and English homework--I also do college prep, including building resumes, tailoring applications, and college essay coaching.

About Troup
By getting myself into Dartmouth, graduating cum laude with honors, and then volunteering as an applicant interviewer for Dartmouth, I learned how top schools select applicants.

I believe everyone has a story to tell in their personal statement, and I work with students through the brainstorming-phase through polishing their essays. I also help with resume-building, college selection, and demystifying the application process!

I also do English and humanities homework tutoring for any grade level.
