Authentic. My desire is to create lessons that use authentic resources to help develop language acquisition. I want to use infographs, articles, and videos that cover today’s issues and topics in Spanish speaking countries. Less emphasis on grammar and more emphasis on communication. However, I have taught level one Spanish at junior high and high school levels going on 4 years now and will be able to help you excel in your course work.

About Jordan
When I was in high school I struggled with Spanish but through passion and determination I overcame my struggles. I am now thankful for how much I struggled because I throughly understand how others struggle and why they struggle. Those struggles have made me a better teacher.

I love the beauty of the Spanish language and have enjoyed being a student of the language myself. I practice daily in conversation, in song, and/or via text every day in order to continue improving. As opposed to solely memorizing facts, I can help beginning students learn to effectively communicate in Spanish in a practical way.

About Bridget
Hello! My name is Bridget. I love helping others to reach their goals! How? I believe in having a friendly attitude, actively listening to what the student would like to accomplish, and developing a practical game plan to help each student fulfill his or her objective. Bridget has been a saving grace for my family, helping my 11 yr old daughter with math. Through her calm demeanor and patience she managed to help my daughter bring a failing math grade to a solid B. Bridget has been able to teach my daughter in a way that connects with her. Facing the rest of this long school year seems much easier knowing we have Bridget to help get us over those pesky humps with the dreaded 6th grade math.

I have 5 years experience teaching Spanish in a classroom setting, and have tutored both kids and adults. I have both presented at teaching conferences and published in the field of language teaching. I work to make language learning practical, fun, and personal! Will use industry-researched best practices to help push you in the direction that you want to take your abilities. I will be attending NYU in the fall to begin a Master of Arts in Teaching Foreign Language.

About Wyatt
I am an experienced Spanish teacher who just moved to the NYC area to start grad school in the fall. I have taught middle school Spanish in the Boston area for the past 5 years, but have experience in classrooms and tutoring young kids, teenagers and adults. I have both presented work at teaching conferences and published in the field of language teaching.
I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) in 2010 with a major in Spanish. I've lived for 3 academic years in Spain, and have also spent significant amounts of time in Mexico, Costa Rica, Chile and Perú.
My preference is to make lessons conversational, practical and personal. I strongly believe that a language, like any skill, is best learned THROUGH DOING IT (as opposed to learning about it in a textbook). That said, I am always happy to cater to your specific inter
ests and needs.
