About kaneshia
My name is Kaneshia Andrews and I started sewing in 2004, mainly sewing as a hobby. Over the years, I started sewing professionally for my online store fierlessfashion.com, friends and family. In addition to sewing, I also make jewelry. I am affiliated with a national sewing organization such as ASG of Plano. I’ve taken online classes with Stratford Career Institute, Burdastyle University, Crafty classes and in-studio with Petit Atelier.

It is widely known that sewing is fun, educational, and practical. Learning to sew is a wonderful hobby for all ages.
 Sewing is a wonderful medium of empowerment
 Sewing is great for devolving problem-solving skills, strong motor skills, attention to detail, and enhances focusing skills
 Sewing not only helps people to learn a hobby that is fun and artistic, it teaches math, critical thi

Kaneshia started me off with valuable trade secrets in the first lesson. I've been really excited to get the to the next lesson and can foresee my future forming around the knowledge she has shared with me.

She was patient without being patronizing. I like that she assessed how well I was working on something then moved on as soon as she felt it was appropriate.

Complete misunderstanding on the 24th with the scheduling and payment. Jennifer called and all was worked out. She was more than happy to help my granddaughter on her design project. My granddaughter learned so much in a hour and Jennifer helped her to start her project. Jennifer scheduled a time on the 25th to help my granddaughter.

She arrived early (after calling ahead of time) and was so friendly and knowledgeable. She explained in detail how to use the sewing machine and use the pattern. My granddaughter learned so much from her. She was awesome. Highly recommend her services.

Not very happy. We need help urgently and your schedule indicated availability on Sunday until you took my money and we learned you weren't available until October. This is deceiving!!!

About Rush
I'm hoping to get to work with students who want to dive right into mastering their camera and all it has to offer, whether we're shooting on film or digital, both of which I can offer instruction in. Learning to be in absolute control of your camera and how your settings will affect your photos is key to creating your images & making sure they come out exactly the way you envision them. Our time together will be a full immersion into light-writing. Over the years, I have had approximately 4 years of cumulative formal instruction on the subject, and have been freelancing since 2011, for events such as weddings, anniversaries, baby/bridal showers, graduation and engagement photos, live concerts, and just about anything else you can think of. Previously a Photography student of Daytona State College in Florida, I made the move up to Chicago
in 2015, and am currently studying at Harold Washington College. In the spring I will graduate with my Art Studio AFA. I genuinely look forward to any time spent with someone with a desire to hone their craft, and hope to bring more inspiration to those wanting to bring forth their vision. Aside from photography, I also teach a handful of other subjects that you or someone else may be interested in!

Rush is awesome! He broke down the camera into easy-to-understand steps and focused on areas I was struggling with. I learned a lot in a very short amount time.

guitarist in a local Chicago band LOOMS. a year ago we asked Rush to design a flier for some of our upcoming shows. we were so in love with what he made for us, that I ended up reaching out on my own to ask for photoshop tips. we did one "formal" lesson (this was before he was registered on the website) and man we covered a lot in 45 mins. i was surprised when rush told me he is still in school. you would have no idea from the way he conducts his lessons.

As a seasoned takelessons teacher myself, I was enthralled with Rush's professionalism and deep understanding of photography.
Many of my own students are adults who now finally have the time to learn something they've always wanted to do. So, I decided to follow my little long-term dream of learning more about photography, and boy am I glad I did! Rush is kind and patient, and has a knack for lesson personalization. I can't wait for our next lesson!!

About Leslie
Inspired by hours paging through the French Vogue with my grandmother who would read the text for me and tell me about all the designers and what made each of them special, I set my sights on Fashion Design at the age of 9. I studied sewing throughout high school and then went on to get a degree in Clothing/Costume design at Brooks College of Design in Los Angeles and apprenticed under the beading master to Hollywoods Costumers (Bob Mackie, Nolan Miller) and learned a rare and dying art of French Embroidery beadwork.
After years working for designers making everything from leather/suede beaded evening gowns for the Country Music Awards to wedding dresses I slowly became more interested in Interiors and soft furnishings. I became a subcontractor for Interior Designers in San Diego and later San Francisco and continued such work in New Yor
k. Later I added carpentry to my list of skills and became a Green remodeler until the Crash.
Today I most enjoy being free to follow my whims. I like to refurbish old furniture, upholster, slipcover and also do the same with clothing. I love vintage and vintage inspired clothes as well as anything finely made. I imagined being a couturier and costume designer for Broadway, but alas I am a humble artisan in my free time only.
I am not a quilter or crafter, but I can do it if required. I prefer detailed handwork, funnily, whimsical or high fashion sewing.
I enjoy helping people with beginning to advanced projects and can bring the classroom to you.

About Adam
Since I was a young man, learning the proper way to cut miters from my Father, I have had a passion for woodworking and carpentry. Fast forward a couple of decades and that passion has turned into years of experience, many unique projects, and scores of happy clients.

Beyond my experience and abilities, I am easy to work with. I can break things down into easy-to-digest chunks, and understand that everyone has their own way to effectively learn new ideas. I always place safety above all, and right under that is fun.

Carpentry and woodworking is one of the most satisfying and truly rewarding practices out there. I would love to help you learn how to make it a part of your life!
