One thing I love about teaching is bringing the arts into the process of learning. We may sing in the language and even paint to help learn. I've taught younger than Kindergarten all the way to adults, so feel comfortable that you'll grow in your conversational skills, as well as, beginner vocabulary. Let me highlight that I'm passionate about "phonetics," which is the study and classification of speech sounds. In other words, you are going to learn how to sound like a native speaker when you take my class.

About Loren

I'm an artist, musician, and language aficionada. I have a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Georgia, graduating with honors as a Magna Cum Laude in Spanish and French Linguistics. I am fluent in both languages. One thing I love about teaching is bringing the arts into the process of learnin

Loren is an amazing teacher. She is patient, kind and caring. She listened to what I needed in preparation for going to Valencia Spain and then customized the lessons. I think we had a lot of fun together as I slowly began to catch on to the dialect of eastern Spain. BTW - she also knows French! I wish her the very best as she continues teaching others!

"Carina is a lovely person and an excellent teacher. She teaches two small classes of kids at my home weekly and we have been impressed with her abilities. She is professional and always comes prepared. Carina gives the kids interesting and relevant homework assignments that they enjoy doing (Yes, you read that right!) I feel both of my children have improved their Spanish ability since Carina began working with them. I recommend her highly!"

"Millie is a heavily experienced teacher and college professor. The way she teaches allows you to apply what you've learned in a practical way. In my case the use of medical spanish with patient scenarios was very beneficial. She was very accommodating to my schedule and provides other study materials to aid in learning and memorization. I highly recommend her for all levels beginner to advanced."

"Isabel made Spanish fun! My eight year old Daughter is very creative and a free spirit. Isabel simply allowed her to be herself, playing games and doing crafts, while Isabel spoke solely in Spanish, clearly and concisely. She also brought play dough and other colorful shapes / crafts to stimulate conversation and learning in Spanish. My daughter is very much looking forward to the next lesson!"

"I'm a Nurse Practitioner and I happened to find about Rosita through a friend. I told her about why I wanted to learn Spanish and apparently she was developing a course for that. What struck me the most is that she listens to her student's needs. She already had an understanding how different nurses work and how crazy it could be. She really narrowed down for those that do not want to be fluent but at be able to communicate with our patients and I appreciated that. I wasn't looking to take High School Spanish again and she didn't. Although we did have to go over some grammar but she explained how it can be used in my line of work. For those that are looking to be conversational in Spanish in her course Beginning Spanish for Medical Professionals I really recommend it my colleagues out there!"
