I have been playing viola for 20+ years and I adore the sound and feel of the instrument. Playing viola has some unique challenges that make it just a bit more special than some of the other string instruments. I like tailor my lessons to the needs of each student. I like to focus on literature written specifically for the viola with some violin transcriptions. I strive to develop good musicianship, understanding of basic theory and good technique in both hands.

I love teaching students the concepts and fundamental theories associated with music making. Mastering the foundations of music theory and ear training can help students have a better understanding and appreciation for what they are doing with their individual instruments. In lessons, it is my goal for each student to be intrigued and find music theory interesting, while having fun improving their aural skills. I have worked with elementary students being introduced to musical concepts for the first time, as well as high school and college age advanced students fulfilling degree requirements or AP exams.

Your lessons will have an emphasis on healthy technique that can be applied to any style of singing that you wish to pursue.
All classes are specifically personalized to the students need and goals as a singer. They will have an emphasis on pitch, correct breathing technique for singing, eliminating tension, development of the musculature required to sing high and free, and the dilation of the pharynx to create the voice that you've always wanted.
Anthony has taken years of lessons in styles from classical to musical theatre to pop, has studied under many great teachers and many great programs such as Seth Riggs' very own Speech Level Singing. Through this, Chris has developed a no BS approach to teaching singing that will give you the results you want.
Anthony charges a very reasonable price because his goal in lessons is to share the gift of singing with as many people as possible.
