Robert hired me while I was in college and I worked for him for three summers in a row. Not only did I get to watch him teach and inspire a wide age range of students day after day, but I got to learn from him myself. Robert has the kind of passion for theater that carries into whatever he's doing. You can see it in his teaching, you see it in his mentoring, and you see it when he watches his students perform. Robert knows exactly how to talk to a student, in a way that is both compassionate and honest. He has an incredible talent for getting the people around him to be excited about their craft and driven to work hard. One of the things I most enjoyed about learning from him, is that he doesn't sugar coat things. He tells you exactly what it is you need to work on but he does it from the perspective of someone who supports you and believes in you fully. I'm grateful for the theater experience he gave me years ago and I credit him for much of my success today.

Very passionate about piano and able to convey ideas.. also very good at feeling out what student is seeking to achieve. Definitely recommend Paul if you are wanting to take playing piano as a serious endeavor

My experience with this teacher was horrible. Paul has no patience for a child that might not pay attention as much as necessary. He has forgotten what it is to be a child or how to win over a child and make a lesson fun.
My child had one previous lesson with Paul. It is true that she was not following his directions and his frustration was quite obvious.
On my second visit I was appalled by Paul’s behavior. Again my child wouldn’t sit down on the bench correctly. Verbatim this what occurred next, I quote: “This is not going to work out. Get out of my house NOW, NOW!(Screaming, like I was going to prolong this). I have better things to do than waste my time with your daughter. I don’t want to take your money.

It is true that my daughter can be difficult when approached in an authoritarian manner. However, my daughter is not yet six and Paul brought my daughter to tears. Surely this behavior was at best inappropriate and says more about the person Paul is than about my daughter. A simple “ May I have word with you in private” would be a mature way to part company. Not throwing a 6 year out of your house because you are frustrated. I was horribly offended by his manner and attitude. No way to treat a 6 year old.

This man has no patience with young kids. I would stay away from this teacher unless your child has some experience with piano. Definitely not child friendly.
Normally I do not post reviews unless something extraordinary happens This is one of those: extraordinarily bad.
An apology is in order if this poor excuse for a “teacher” has any understanding of the unnecessary hurt he has caused.

A great experience! I have been learning with Corey for about two months, and am already improving. I am a guitar player with some basic drumming experience. I was looking to finally get to the next level so I could record my own drum beats (also drumming always looked like a lot of fun!), and Corey is helping me to achieve this. He is a talented drummer himself, and was able to quickly assess my playing level so we could start building on it. He has a great eye and ear for issues with my technique and always has an exercise to address them. In a short time I have experienced significant improvement, playing some more creative drum patterns, and am looking forward to continuing.
A lot of fun, very fulfilling, great instructor! Highly recommended!

We are going to HAVE FUN! I will be customizing your lessons to your needs, your skill level, your age, and most importantly, what you would like to learn on the Ukulele. The Ukulele is such a fun instrument to play. It's a small instrument with a big sound. There are 4 different sizes: Soprano, Concert, Tenor, and Baritone. Soprano is the smallest and the Baritone is the largest.

I teach the first 3 sizes for the reason being they all have same string arrangement which is G, C, E, A. The Baritone is tuned to D, G, B, E. The Baritone can be tuned to G, C, E, A, but will require a different set of strings to do so. If you own a Baritone and wish to have lessons, you'll need to change the strings, then proceed to tune to G, C, E, A.

If you want the true Hawaiian sound you will need the Soprano Ukulele. If you have really big hands or thick fingers you might want to go with the Concert or Tenor size so it will be easier to play.

I will help you sight read music (new songs) which ...

"AMAZING!

This is it! Michael C. is it! I have taught music for years and I have watched my children take music lessons for years, but I have never been so impressed as when I watch Michael C.! My son has been taking lessons with Michael C. for a few months now and without fail he is always so sad whenever Michael's lessons comes to a close. Michael C. has developed his own - (that's right his own work sheets, his own methodology, his own songs) - style of teaching that is so incredibly fun for my son, and as a parent watching I cannot stop wanting to pull out my phone to take video of every moment! My son is learning and building a foundation based on the clear fundamentals of drumming, while at the same time learning how to really control the drum set at a very high level of musicianship. What my son has learned, and how much Michael is able to motivate my son to achieve is simply unbelievable. I have never witnessed a teacher who is this concise and thorough in teaching the core fundamentals and yet so creative and fun in teaching REAL MUSICALITY! Michael C. is a must for your child or students! This guy and his teaching methods are exactly what a parent dreams for their child to experience in a drum teacher."
