About Paul

Very passionate about piano and able to convey ideas.. also very good at feeling out what student is seeking to achieve. Definitely recommend Paul if you are wanting to take playing piano as a serious endeavor
Arthur
My experience with this teacher was horrible. Paul has no patience for a child that might not pay attention as much as necessary. He has forgotten what it is to be a child or how to win over a child and make a lesson fun.
My child had one previous lesson with Paul. It is true that she was not following his directions and his frustration was quite obvious.
On my second visit I was appalled by Paul’s behavior. Again my child wouldn’t sit down on the bench correctly. Verbatim this what occurred next, I quote: “This is not going to work out. Get out of my house NOW, NOW!(Screaming, like I was going to prolong this). I have better things to do than waste my time with your daughter. I don’t want to take your money.

It is true that my daughter can be difficult when approached in an authoritarian manner. However, my daughter is not yet six and Paul brought my daughter to tears. Surely this behavior was at best inappropriate and says more about the person Paul is than about my daughter. A simple “ May I have word with you in private” would be a mature way to part company. Not throwing a 6 year out of your house because you are frustrated. I was horribly offended by his manner and attitude. No way to treat a 6 year old.

This man has no patience with young kids. I would stay away from this teacher unless your child has some experience with piano. Definitely not child friendly.
Normally I do not post reviews unless something extraordinary happens This is one of those: extraordinarily bad.
An apology is in order if this poor excuse for a “teacher” has any understanding of the unnecessary hurt he has caused.

My daughter really enjoyed her time with Anne!!
Deb
I can't say enough good things about Anne. Our daughter (now 11) started voice lessons with her about a year ago. Smart and talented and energetic, Anne is awesome with children. She gets our daughter to focus (this can be challenging) and work hard, but always keeps the lesson fun and exciting. Perhaps most importantly, Anne really knows her stuff. Our daughter has learned so much--about listening, getting the best sound, increasing her range, protecting her voice. They work together on finding material that my daughter likes, and Anne even arranges open mic nights at a local club so her students can try performing if they want to. Anne is a voice pathologist as well as vocalist, so you can't go wrong. I recommend her so highly for kids, and I am sure she's great with adults too.
Nancy Lee
After one lesson I know that Annie is going to help me get past my 30+ year phobia of singing in front of people and help get me to a place where I'll want to sing for the fun of it! She is a very compassionate and empathic teacher and is thoughtful with lesson plan and approach.

Ryan Pereira was the first private teacher I had on the clarinet. With his help, I managed to get into my district band for the first time, scoring high in my audition, I have bought three of his products (a ligature and a barrels) which work brilliantly, and his expertise on performance and technical knowledge has helped me grow in a positive way. In addition to all of this, Pereira has become a true mentor and an honest friend.

I'm an experienced piano teacher that is passionate about music and I enjoy sharing the love of music with my students. I teach all genres of music...from Bach to rock. I specialize in transcribing popular music, therefore I am able to customize the music for all abilities. Though I teach in a traditional manner (reading music, using the pedals, counting, proper fingering, music theory, etc) I teach my students to play REAL music, NOT someone else's lesson plans from a book.

About David

I have been teaching the piano for 35 years. Though I have been classically trained and have a love of the Masters, I am also a fan of Progressive Rock and Top 40 music. 11 years ago I formed a virtual band (Virtual Journey Band) and have been working with musicians worldwide. We recorded and post

"As an adult with no former knowledge or lessons on piano, I was a bit hesitant to find a teacher. But after the first lesson with Troy I knew that concern was completely unfounded. Troy is great at helping the student progress at their own preferred pace, while still ensuring that each lesson provides significant progress. In my experience he is very flexible with an unpredictable schedule, and is reliable and consistent about communication. I would recommend troy for any piano student, especially those starting later in life like myself"
