I have been knitting since I was a teenager back in the mid-'80s. I am a published designer, CYC Certified Instructor with over 9 years teaching experience inspiring beginners and experienced knitters.
Students are expected to provide all tools and materials but I will help you find what you need for your project. Recommend duration for in-person lessons is 90 minutes.

I began teaching while studying in Art Institute. My first students were 5 to 7 yr. old kids. It was very challenging, but also very rewarding. I was teaching them skills, they were teaching me patience. Later the age of my students grew, until I ended up teaching the same students I was in the same classes just 6 months ago. I’ve wanted to learn lace knitting for so long but it overwhelmed me every time I tried. Simply stated: I’m no longer overwhelmed or fearful of lace knitting!
Patty is patient, detailed and takes the time to make sure the steps make sense instead of just a monkey see monkey do what I do approach. This gives me an actual understanding of what I’m doing and WHY and removed so much of what confused me before.
