I love knitting, enjoying making a huge variety of items using many different techniques. I knit using the English style, having grown up in Cheshire, England, but also knit using the Continental style of knitting too. I have been teaching knitting in groups and on a one to one basis for a few years. My students have ranged in age from 8 years old to 80 years old.
If you need help with a specific project, learning a new technique or just starting out as a beginner knitter, please get in touch.

About Jane

I love hand crafts and was attracted to hand knitted items from an early age. I'm a qualified elementary school teacher, having taught both in London and Boston. I have also worked with high school students and adults in museum education, having a masters in Museum and Gallery Education. I love k

I'm a beginner at knitting and Jane helped me with my first scarf, which I was able to finish in time to gift it to my partner for Christmas. I had turned a simple project into a complicated mess, and Jane showed me how to fix it. What a huge relief! She is so patient and kind, all in all, a great teacher. I highly recommend her!

I really enjoyed knitting with Jane. I was a complete beginner and she was very patient and helpful. As a result of my sessions with her I am much more confident and can now make progress on my own.

Having been a knitter for 14 years now I’ve taught individual/private lessons and in group settings. From cables to color work, I’ve covered just about everything you could ask for. I’m a continental knitter and can show multiple ways to tension your working yarn (often a struggle for new knitters). I’m able to teach beginner to intermediate and have advanced skills for those wanting to push themselves. Knowing how to read your knitting is important for all skill levels so I encourage that no matter where you are in your knitting journey.

As a fiber artist I’ve created my own patterns as well. I’m not just a knitter. I’ve been spinning for 12 years and weaving for 2.

About Liz

I'm an avid fiber artist with over a decade of experience in knitting and spinning. I'm experienced in multiple techniques and encourage learning new ones. I practice what I preach and work on my own education. with various courses, both in person and online. My favorite way of teaching is by pick
