I believe it is very important to understand the why and how behind music. As the student understands music theory in relation to piano, voice, or any other instrument, he/she can start to join the knowledge of music theory with their instrument. When this happens, they are able to see a clearer of picture of the music; and become that much closer to true musicianship.

About Shae

I am an music instructor with 30 years of experience. I have a Bachelor's degree in Sacred Music with a major in Voice. I have been playing piano for 38 years with having been an accompanist for choirs and soloists and a pianist at weddings and churches. I am a believer that anyone can learn pi

My 2 girls started with Shae when they were 5 years old and both enjoyed their lessons. Shae is patience and good with kids. Even though we don't have the best schedule, the girls liked her so much I couldn't switch to a different teacher even though it could have saved me a few dollars too.

Shae is a great teacher, she is very patient, and my son enjoys his lessons. We have been with Shae for several years, and it has been fun watching my son's ability grow during that time.

Diana has been a wonderful and supportive instructor! I love the techniques she uses to teach piano, from balancing items on the back of my hands to establish form to singing Do-Re-Me while playing the scales to better understand the tone of each key. She brings her love and enthusiasm for music to each session. I highly recommend Diana to anyone and everyone who wants to learn piano and have fun doing it!

Diana is fantastic. She connects with the kids on their level. She matches their personality to the course work, keeping the students engaged. She also enhances lessons with guitar accompaniment and fun video clips. My son loves taking piano lessons with Diana.
Tara
Diana truly is the best piano teacher I have ever had. I have been with her for around 7 years, and through that time, I have done classical and pop songs. As well as learned to read music and all the in’s and out’s of piano. Through out the years, Diana has been nothing but helpful and considerate and fun. You will not be disappointed with your choice of Diana

I understand that each person learns differently and has different musical goals. Because of this, I do not teach everyone the same. I do not teach out of any specific book or teaching program. Instead I design lessons around the student and their own personal style and goals. I feel that this creates a more motivating and driven curriculum and makes lessons more enjoyable for myself and my students.

My name is Andrew. I am a private guitar teacher in the Puyallup,WA area. I have been teaching professionally in the area for the past 6 years, and have been playing and studying the guitar since I was 11 years old. Andrew is an excellent instructor. He is really knowledgeable in music theory. I took lessons for only a short time but was able to learn so much, because he used my knowledge of piano to help me understand guitar concepts and he focused on the techniques and songs that I was most interested in.

"My son has been taking trombome lessons with Jeremy for over a year and a half now. Jeremy provides great instruction, better than I could imagine in an online format. When my son is struggling with a new skill, Jeremy tries strategy after stratgy very patiently until he finds the technique that works. "Bobby is a great teacher! During my time taking lessons, he always found a way to explain concepts in a manner that I could relate to. Coming from flute, I knew basic fundamentals of reading music and structure and Bobby took the time to make suggestions that were along the lines of my musical experiences and strengths. If you're looking to learn the trumpet, I'd definitely recommend Bobby because he's able to break down concepts and is very patient. If you've been playing trumpet for awhile and wish to get even better, I'd suggest taking lessons with him because Bobby definitely has the resume, experience and knowledge to help any trumpet player go further."

"I studied composition and music theory with Troy during my Junior and Senior years of high school. These lessons were formative for me, and Troy gave me the education and motivation I needed to pursue composition as a career. 10 years later, I'm about to receive my doctorate in Music Composition from the University of Colorado, I've written commercial music that has been aired in all 50 states, and my classical compositions have been toured by professional musicians across the country and overseas.

I can say without a doubt that Troy was the most influential teacher I've ever had, and it's likely that I would have never continued down the path of music had I not had these lessons. Troy was patient, insightful, and always knew how to focus me and push me to develop as an artist. Teachers with Troy's ability and knowledge are extremely rare."

"I am an adult, and have had several teachers, and Julie is the best. She is warm and caring and friendly, with a nice sense of humor, and is also businesslike and focused. The lessons are fun, but you don't waste time. Her knowledge of different instruments and different kinds of music is very impressive. When she gives criticism, it's always constructive and thoughtful. She often gives praise when I do well, and the praise is also thoughtful. She gives good suggestions for practice and for working out a problem within the lesson. She treats me like an individual, and appreciates my musical interests, so doesn't try to make me do the same program as everybody else."
