Marsha K. Roseville, CA

About Marsha

It is a pleasure to meet you! You probably came here with both a little excitement and a little concern. Finding the right person for you can be intimidating. A short introduction follows so that you know a little about me and my philosophy; I have been teaching music, performing music and enjoying music since I was a tiny three-year old. My first piano lessons were at age seven, and I just reconnected with my first teacher again on Facebook, what a lovely world this is. Music has blessed my life in countless ways and given me opportunities I'd never dreamed of. Singing in Carnegie Hall, Performing across Europe and teaching the best students for over 25 years. I believe strongly that those who spend their time and resources for musical education are some of the brightest ...

Ms. Marsha is such a great teacher. My son who is 11 years old is learning a lot in such a short period of time. She makes it easy for him to understand how to read notes and how to play them in such a fun way. We were just going to try 8 sessions, but after just 2 sessions, we would like to continue for more. We just love her! I'm glad she had an opening when we were looking for a teacher.

Ronald S. Citrus Heights, CA

About Ronald

With a Bachelor's Degree in music from California State University Sacramento I studied with the best, including graduates from Juilliard and Eastman. I focus on what my students want to play and provide a harmonic grounding to enable the student to improvise or just "jam" with anybody. I also provide a positive reinforcement atmosphere and will accept ground floor beginners to advanced intermediate students. *** Lesson Details *** I believe it's important to create a relaxed, stress free lesson atmosphere to encourage creativity and self confidence. While mistakes are expected I believe building a students self confidence will make those mistakes disappear. We'll start with fundamentals which will build your understanding of what you're playing and be able to apply it to whatever ...

Instructor was very helpful

I am an experienced drummer that got back into playing 2 years ago after a 15 year hiatus. I called Take Lessons to get an instructor that could look at my playing abilities and help me learn where my deficiencies were and work on them.
It was really great getting to know Justin, with his insight and ability to see what was going on with me, I was able to get focused and overcome those deficiencies or at least work on them.
He gave me a new direction to go with my rehearseal time that I hadn't yet thought of. I will help with my speed and accuracy.
I'm really glad that I called and am happy to call Justin a new friend.
Kimberly B. Roseville, CA

About Kimberly

I grew up in a household of 9 where music was always center stage. We would sing as a family in different venues and were often called the VonTrapp family. I have enjoyed singing and performing from a young age. I began studying flute at age 8, after scoring highest in the harmony listening exam and began formal violin lessons at the age of 9. I studied all genres including, fiddle, classical, musical theater and 20th century. I have continued to study violin since then and have performed in many orchestras and small groups, such as Honor Orchestra, the Paradise Symphony, the Yuba College Orchestra, Yuba-Sutter Oratorio Society Orchestra and more. I have been concert master and first stand in many of these. I have also soloed in many and have been the first violinist in quartets for ...

Great Teacher!!!

Kimberly is an excellent teacher and I highly recommend her. She is patient with you as a student and explains things at your level. She is very knowledgable about music as she plays many instruments and has a great ear. As an adult student she had me learn to read music early in the lesson which I found to be very helpful. Lessons are at her home and it is in an appropiate setting. My Lessons fly by as she has an engaging teaching style and she stays focused on helping your improvement from week to week. She is flexible in rescheduling your weekly lesson if needed.I would rate her an A+ as a Music teacher!

My passion is creating music and in the last ten years iv drummed on over ten albums and counting, in many different styles. Instant Satisfaction

Matt is doing lessons with my 6-year old son and from the moment they met it was magic. Matt talks to him at a level he can understand, is so patient with him and really allows for him to have fun while learning at the same time. Matt is our third instructor over the past year and he is by far the best. My son is enthused about picking up the drums again and excited when Friday rolls around.
