Hi! My name is Sam! This is my SEVENTH year with TakeLessons and I couldn't be happier with the students that have come my way. If you're reading this, then you've taken the first step in finding a tutor that is right for you! 

I completed two Bachelor's degrees at Worcester State University in Massachusetts. I have a B.A in Spanish and a B.A in Communication.

I love Spanish, and I believe that you can really get the hang of it after a little time and practice. With grammar review, practice, and vocabulary memorization, it becomes really easy to learn this language. I am more than happy to be here to help you learn this exciting language! Proper pacing is crucial to learning a new language. Therefore, I make each lesson customized for every student.

Aside from Spanish, I also teach Adobe Photoshop & Photography. There are endless possibilities with Photoshop, and I am here to let you discover some of them. No experience? Tired of watching online tutorials with no feedback? Maybe you need a tutor to guide you through the process!

We will start off with layers and then go on from there, moving into the more intricate tools such as the pen tool, layer masks, and blending modes.

For photography lessons, I teach you the technical language you need to know when talking about photos. I will show you how to command your DSLR camera to get the exact photo you want.

This group Spanish class is perfect for beginners, whether you’re traveling to a Spanish speaking country soon or just want to learn helpful, everyday phrases. You’ll learn how to ask for directions, read a map in Spanish, and more!

You won’t get lost in a Spanish speaking country after taking this group class! An expert instructor will teach you how to ask for directions, and give directions, for different places in your community. You’ll also learn how to read maps in Spanish! An added bonus - learning how to use the verb “estar” appropriately will allow you to discuss feelings with others.

Learn Spanish from someone who had to learn it himself! I went all the way and earned a Bachelor's degree. I teach from middle school to college level Spanish. I have knowledge with in depth grammar constructions and vocabulary. With time and practice, I can guide you to being successfully able to read, write, listen, and speak in Spanish. I understand the struggles of learning a new language, as Spanish is not my native language myself! With all of my personal learning experiences with learning the language and eventually majoring in it while in college, I know the specific obstacles you as a native English speaker face. My lessons are custom to each students experience level, and are taught at just the right speed. Learning a second language is much more enjoyable when there is not stress involved. It's never too late to start! ¡Hasta pronto!

Sam is the best person I recommend if you want to learn the basics of photography, lightroom, and Photoshop. Sam has been the greatest teacher ever, he is so kind and caring and really cares about you progressing as a photographer. Even if you are already into photography and you are not a beginner, then Sam can still teach you so much. Sam is just the most outstanding teacher, and he is very personable.

I learned so much in the first session alone! Lots of “ah-ha “ moments.  Sam is very knowledgeable and the class was very interesting with different demonstrations of the concepts being taught!
