My name is Ana (Profesora Ana). I am originally from México. I graduated in 2010 with an A.A. in Spanish for Heritage Speakers and an Integrative Studies of Women and Gender Certificate. In 2012 I earned a B.A. in Spanish. I finished my M.A. in fall 2014. Also, I am an active member of Sigma Delta Pi. I have been a Spanish instructor teaching at the post-secondary level for ten years, where I have taught first and second-year Spanish as well as composition classes. 
As a Spanish instructor, I have had the opportunity to work with a diversity of students, from different backgrounds. As a Spanish instructor, one of the most important goals in class is to help students learn the language properly. Furthermore, one of my objectives is to motivate students fulfill their potential and imbued them an interest for the Spanish language as well as the Hispanic culture. It is also of my interest that my students get involved and enjoy non-academic activities where they can have the opportunity to practice the target language as well as the culture. As regards my interests, I love listening to music, attend concerts, and cooking.

As we get into more vocabulary and future tense the lessons are even more enjoyable. Ana is creative and well organized so a lot of learning takes place in her lesson.

Ana is precise in correcting my homework and checking in about my comprehension. She is an excellent teacher - always well prepared and responsive to my needs.

My third lesson with Ana showed me how much material we were covering - both grammar and vocabulary. She is so responsive to what is happening...a wonderful teacher!
