About Me

I am a California state certified teacher with more than 10 years of experience teaching learners of all ages. I am certified in education  and English as a Second Language. I also have my 120 hour TESOL certification. I received my master's in education from Columbia University in New York City.

Me as a Teacher

My classes are fast paced and designed to help you progress in the fastest way possible. I use reading, writing, speaking, and listening modalities to help you move forward quickly. Classes are held using the Off2Class platform, which is an integrated English language learning platform. My classes are serious yet fun. You work hard for your money, and I understand that! 

I provide all learning materials for our classes. You do not need to have anything ready.

We will have a guided discussion about money and habits related to spending money. You will have an opportunity to learn new vocabulary and to speak freely about your own habits. The objectives of this class are:
1- to learn vocabulary about the topic
2- to build fluency when speaking

NOTE: Depending on the number of students in class, we might use Zoom breakout rooms so students have more opportunities to speak.

My private lessons are for serious students ready to work in class and outside of class with homework. Classes will include speaking, pronunciation, listening, reading, grammar, and writing. We use your strengths to improve your weaknesses. 

You can choose between general English or Business English.

Each program is 12 weeks with weekly classes. You can stay with me for more or less time, but each level program is 12 weeks of classes.

These classes are for:
1- Students who want a highly structured program
2- Students who are serious about improving and ready to work
3- Students who have been frustrated in the past about not having an improvement plan
4- Students who appreciate homework and are ready to commit to correcting any errors in their homework
5- Students who want classes that are fast paced where the time flies quickly

My skill set lies in keeping you on track and motivated. My classes are fun but I do insist on hard work and a commitment to progress. It's a team effort!

My prices reflect our time in class but also the time I spend correcting your homework, sending you feedback, getting your new corrected homework, and reviewing that. For each hour together in class, I spend another hour outside of our time together.
