Cindy is a native Spanish speaker and fluent English speaker. Additionally, she studied French for over 8 years. She is a driven Latina who loves her background and is excited to help others learn and embrace new cultures. 

She began tutoring 17 years ago (Spanish, French, Math and Science) while in High School and continued to do so intermittently throughout college while she was earning her degrees (B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with minor in Theater Arts form the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh) and after as a working professional.
Aside from tutoring Spanish, she has experience tutoring the following subjects:
Algebra - Geometry - Pre Calculus - Physics - Dynamics - Mechanics 

She recently moved from Pittsburgh PA to Los Angeles in order to continue to grow her acting career.
She splits her time between her family and working as an actress, working on her own productions (radio show and film) and independent films.

She loves working out, movies, cultural events and embracing diversity.


She also enjoys working with kids  because it allows her to show them that there is so much more to an Engineer. 

She is a former president of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers - Western Pennsylvania Chapter. Through this organization they were able to create opportunities for kids K-12 and college to experiment and learn about the different opportunities in the STEM field during Engineering-Week at the Carnegie Science Center.

This group class will help ensure you’re speaking English correctly, as your expert instructor explains the rules for different tenses. You’ll learn how to talk about things that might happen or could happen in the future, and how to tell stories using the past tense.

Cindy's extensive knowledge of Spanish was clear from the start.  English is her second language but my children couldn't tell.  She has an excellent way of breaking down Spanish for children and adults (I listened in and learned a couple of phrases).
