Aural skills, that include the study of functional tonality and voice-leading are important factors that impart musicality. This is of great import if the prospective musician wants the audience to truly enjoy his or her performance !

Spanish is my native language and I've always been fascinated by its grammar, its phonetics and beauty in general. But learning other languages has also being one of my passions. I am fortunate to be proficient in two languages (Spanish and English), but knowing a few others has given me perspective that became a tool for another of my passions: Teaching!!!
I strongly believe everyone is capable of learning Spanish. That's why I guarantee my students I can teach them not only what they want but also what they need. Every student is different and that's why I personalize each of my classes. I have 15+ years of experience teaching adults, teens, children, big groups, families, etc., not only in the US but also in Mexico and other countries (online). My teaching method has
been recognized and awarded by organizations like the Erie Neighborhood House in Chicago, and the DuPage County Health Department. I enjoy teaching because there is no better satisfaction that helping others to accomplish something they considered almost impossible; I will be happy to help you get there!
My name is Jimmy. I have been teaching Spanish for about seven years now. I have taught all ages from kindergarten to adults.
As a current teacher, my primary goal is to make sure the students have engaging and fun experiences while learning Spanish. I do not lecture solely on the nuts and bolts of the language but rather allow the student to perform the language in order to learn it.
I do want to make clear that I do teach young children (ages 2-12) but I prefer to teach them in person and at least twice a week. I believe the experience to be more valuable that way.
Additionally, I ask that parents or potential adult students and with me talk for a while before signing up for lessons. I may not be able the person to give you what you need. I want to be sure your needs are met through Take Lessons and I may not be the person th
at can do that. So, please message me often.
One last note: If we are meeting in person, I am only willing to meet in public locations and not anyone's home.
I am always excited to teach someone this language I love so much.
