I am a highly organized, outcome-driven and motivated professional musician and educator with solid experience in the classroom. For the past 25 years, I have been employed with Amati music academy and seven years on the faculty of University of St Francis. I am very comfortable with all aspects of the current music syllabus, including teaching musical concepts (such as duration, pitch, dynamics, tone color, texture and structure) as well as performance, composition. I am fully qualified, with a Bachelor of Education in Music, Double Masters in music performance and education from University of Nottingham. I am proficient in classical, jazz and Celtic fiddle violin and possess solid skills in piano (grade 8-13) Royal conservatory system. Throughout my teaching career, I have been driven to help students achieve their very best. I str
ongly believe that music has the power to change lives – to enhance the social, cultural and spiritual lives of people, and serve as a profound medium of personal expression. Professional perform experience: The Chicago, Natalie Cole, Smokey Robinson, Three tours with Moody Blues, YoYo Ma etc.... The most important thing I look for in a student is communication skills, as well as talent. I like to nurture students and help identify their individual strengths, which is a key factor in shaping a musical persona that will make its mark both on and offstage. I do not advocate a uniform technique for all students. Physical differences and learning styles are always taken into consideration. Potential is as important to me as early achievements and experience. My goal is to help students become self-sufficient, discriminating artists. I discuss practice techniques often and develop individualized scale routines. I encourage initiative and expressive musicality as well as precision. Above all, music needs to bring obvious joy to the student, regardless of the difficulties.”

Fernando was fantastic with my 14 year old son. He asked what type of music he wanted to play to keep him engaged. He had a great 45 minute lesson with him. Fernando is passionate about violin and it shows. Looking forward to continuing with Fernando! Highly recommend him!

Very professional and patient with student. Can't wait to keep working with him.
I have always been an actor first, it is the craft and discipline in which I hold my advanced degrees; it is my first and eternal love. There really isn't much more one could add to such a claim. Simultaneously I have believed a teacher is born, not bred; and I was born to be in theatre, and now, with a few years behind me; I'm ready to pass on what I have learned. At the risk of tooting my own horn; I am well trained, professionally, both as an actor and a teacher with more than a few credentials to support those claims. I invite you to please peruse my background on the site and feel free to ask any questions you desire.
Regarding Texas Hold 'em (poker), I have been playing and teaching the game, and working for online casinos for over thirty years. My approach is simple, requires extreme discipline, but I can show you how to win mo
re than you lose. And this is true of all subjects I teach whether literal or figurative.
My undergraduate Bachelors is in Acting & Directing I was taught by the same professors who launched the students that formed the now famous Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago (Illinois State University); I also have a Masters degree in Theatre History and Criticism (Theatrical Critical Theory). I have teaching experience both as a GA and in the private sector. I have been exposed to many different types of teaching styles and locales, (i.e. classroom, studio et.al). I hope that gives you a thumbnail concurrently I hope I didn't bore you to death.
Randy is a first rate coach. He is knowledgeable, experienced, and with an easy going natural style. Was very adaptable to my level of experience and was patient - no question was too dumb. I highly recommend him without any reservation. I have already booked my next session.
I have always been a self-studier in my entire life. Being able to learn with just books and your brain is a crucial skill to have! However, I know not everyone (and sometimes even myself) have the discipline and motivation to keep going during hard times. This is where a tutor would come in handy.
I enjoy tutoring (doing it ever since I was in high school for my classmates) and helping other overcome problems that I have encountered myself because it enhances my own understanding and makes me happy that my self-studying is helping others. Sometimes, my students even bring up alternative ways of thinking that I have never thought of before!
I am Italian. I moved to Canada first and the US next in my thirties. I love teaching. I own a retail training and consulting company. I have taught Italian on and off over the years and have always loved doing it. I am very passionate about the topics I teach and have a clear understanding of the complexities of learning and most importantly remembering things that are new to us. Hence, my obsession with repetition and never move to the next lesson until prior ones are fully mastered. I use multiple tricks to make a lesson engaging, different and fun to attend.
My hourly fee accounts for the fact that I am available to give in person lessons (more effective than online), can accommodate a student's busy schedule and my hourly rate can be for one or more students at a time. So, if you have family of friends who can come with you which
would allow you to share in the cost, my fee does not change and neither does the quality of my lessons.
Stefania was a great teacher, full of energy and encouragement. She customized the lesson plan for our needs (traveling to Italy, and wanting a crash course in conversational Italian). She made the learning fun, and even made the grammar piece (the hardest part of Italian) go quick! I feel motivated to study for our next lesson, and look forward to it.

Great first lesson! We're building a house from the foundation up!
I have extensive experience playing as part of orchestras and ensembles and also pursued music pedagogy, and during my many years of teaching instrumental music, I was able to further develop my own skill as a performance musician. Furthermore, I had the privilege to lead two different orchestras as a conductor, I composed music for a theatrical production, and also recorded several albums including klezmer music, smooth jazz, musical poetry, and music for healing and meditation.
As I speak two languages English and Russian, I can teach both. Russian is my native language, so students can learn Russian from the native speaker. And that is the best way to learn foreign languages. I've been teaching Russian since 2010 and I use my own method, which is not like in boring books. Students have to get what they need to fill the gaps and go further. Who goes, he reaches the destination.
Italian grammar can be a tough thing for beginners to master. Below, Italian teacher Giulio G. gives a brief lesson in recognizing Italian cognates and false cognates...
Although English and Italian belong to two different language families, they have lexis similarities. In fact, it is estimated that around 30 percent of the English vocabulary comes from Romance and Latin sources.
It's for this exact reason why it is possible to find many cognates--or words that sound or are spelled …
