I have been teaching and coaching actors for over 20 years. My students work professionally on stage, TV and film. Within the first few lessons, you will understand how to create a character. Soon, you will have the skills to book a role. I specialize in method acting, but draw upon my experience at The Second City (improvisation) in Chicago and other training I have had. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels; I can't wait to meet you!
In addition to working professionally an as actor for over 25 years, I graduated from the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts where I majored in drama. Are you working on a part for a play or film and need assistance? If you are new to act

Good habits and an excellent attitude make great cellists. It doesn't hurt to love music too. I love music and I love to share my passion with my students.
Having a teacher who is an experienced performer is an important quality in a teacher. I am a professional classical musician currently working as a freelance cellist in the Chicago area. I play with Chicago Philharmonic, the Northbrook Symphony, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and the Northwest Indiana Symphony, among others. Before coming to Chicago I played for 13 seasons with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra.
I have taught privately for over 10 years including 2 years in Paris. My teaching is a reflection of my teacher, Phillippe Muller. I studied with Msr. Muller while studying at the Paris Conservatory. Msr. Muller is currently a Professor of Cello at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City.
Even though I have been teaching and performing on the cello for most of my life, it's not all there is to who I am. I am a chef (almost--12 weeks to go), a mom, a wife. I have a cute little Tibetan Terrier that loves visitors. My husband and I love hiking in beautiful places. Studying with me
I'm truly ecstatic to continue studying with Wei!

I teach every student the technical skills and applied theory necessary to work in any contemporary style on guitar. I use the "Be better than you have to be" approach. Want to be the best on a bad day? Be better than your chosen style requires. I studied classical and jazz in order to excel at rock, folk and blues.
You will learn to read music and charts for guitar, as well as movable scale patterns, movable chord forms, and how to apply it all to master the fretboard.
Have you hit a road block? I can help. Are you brand new and want to be sure you understand the instrument completely? I can help.
UPDATE: I'M FULLY VACCINATED, BUT STILL FOLLOW COVID-SAFE GUIDELINES. IN-PERSON LESSONS ARE IN FULL SWING. I ALSO DO ONLINE WITH STATE-OF-THE-ART GEAR. MY NEW SPACE IS OPEN IN THE FLAT IRON ARTS BUILDING IN CHICAGO'S POPULAR WICKER PARK NEIGHBORHOOD. I STILL DO ONE DAY IN MY HOME STUDIO

BM Violin and Pedagogy from Illinois Wesleyan University
Teaching since 2007
Being able to create music is an integral part of the human condition as it helps us express and understand an exceedingly wide range of human emotion. Teaching how to do it has therefore always been my greatest passion and having been privileged with the guidance of great pedagogues in the past, it is my ambition to pass that invaluable knowledge and skill on to aspiring musicians. I am certain that every person (no matter what age) has vast potential and it is my duty as a teacher to extract those talents and nurture creativity. Guiding students to find a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationship to music will encourage them to not only be exceptional artists, but also human beings. It is essential to cater to each student individually helping each one find the right practice strategies, technical studies, repertoire, and most importantly, their own musical identity. My goal is not simply to develop skill, but to teach students how to teach themselves, find their ...

Are you looking for Spanish expressions to teach your youngsters? Want to practice around the house in addition to the work you're doing in your Spanish language classes or lessons? Parents of my students often ask me how they can start speaking Spanish with their children at home. Whether they are parents who are studying Spanish themselves or if their children are learning. Either way, parents try to find a way to utilize Spanish in their homes. Most of the time, they’ll ask me for common …
