I absolutely love Kelly's teaching style. She explains things clearly and allows me to do all the steps myself, while overseeing and giving me tips. She also lets me choose my projects so I'm motivated to work on each project. She is also very accommodating with my schedule and kiddos who are sometimes in the vicinity.

Hi! My name is Avalon. I have my bachelors degree in fashion design and I’ve been making clothes for almost 10 years but I’ve been passionate about fashion for as long as I can remember. I started teaching kids how to sew one summer and I’ve been in love with it ever since. I have experience in both pattern making and draping and I own my own business where I make custom designs for customers. I am comfortable teaching students at all levels, so feel free to reach out.

"Had my first lesson today and Vena showed me many tips on how to lay out the pattern properly on the fabric and reviewed what the pattern symbols mean. I learned things I never knew and, as we went along, she gave me the reasons why things are done a certain way which is good so it'll make sense and I won't be as likely to forget them.
