'Dr. Cliff,' a part-time college/university professor, teacher and tutor with 5 master's and 3 doctoral degrees in a variety of topics: Mathematics, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, MBA, Leadership, Education and Administration. He has always used proven educational techniques to instruct undergraduate students, graduate students and school children/teenagers (K-12). In addition, Dr. Cliff is a Certified Tutor by American Tutoring Association and National Tutoring Association (Math); he holds California Teaching Credentials in Math (CSET I,II,III), Busin
Dr. Cliff believes that, although many professors and teachers do an admirable job in the classroom, many students and children do not learn well in traditional institutions. Many students and children don't respond to the assembly line nature of most institutions. He believes that a student's or child's strengths and natural abilities need to be the foundation of learning. Dr. Cliff often warns against a "cookie cutter" approach to educating students, teenagers and children. You or your child is seen as an individual, and natural strengths are identified and built upon. Therefore, individual one-on-one tutoring or help is the key approach to each student who has any challenges difficulties in a given subject.
In today’s environment and economic challenges, with shorter budgets for the education, larger classes sizes and pressure of performing well in all kind of standard tests, I often see many students lacking true knowledge and skills in a given subject, since they cannot get individualized attention during the class session. That’s where a tutor comes into the picture, not only uncover major “holes” in students’ knowledge set but also teach students how to study, how to learn and through proper guidance “fill” those knowledge and skills holes.

French is among the most important languages in the world; over 7% of the world's population speak it and it is the third most important language in the business world. Unfortunately, French is notorious for being gratuitously difficult. On the bright side, I have over 7 years of experience with French, I speak it fluently and I teach it up until the intermediate level. I tutor French in a fun and engaging way that captivates my students and has them speaking it in a provisional amount of time. Along with the basics, I also delve into the technicalities of French grammar, spelling and reading. You've come to the right person, as you'll never have to be craven taking your next French test, impressing your French-speaking friend or visiting a francophone country after I 'fragment French'.
About Amadou
As an engineering-inclined individual, I encourage an exemplary study ethic in my students as well as an organized and systematic approach geared towards maximizing student grades/scores. I also bring results by relating to my students by incorporating elements of the things that they like (sports, hobbies, m
Having lived in over 20 countries has also permitted me to maintain my patience, composure and sense of flexibility and open-mindedness when dealing with even the most extreme personalities. I believe that everyone has potential; however potential is worthless unless put in motion. And experts like me take pride in our abilities to give students that push, that jolt of energy that galvanizes them into pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps, allowing them to achieve academic excellence.

About Michelle W.
CloseParlez-vous français? French was the first foreign language I learned, and it was definitely a gateway language. I loved learning every detail of the grammar, every rule, every inevitable exception. I took advanced courses at UCI as well as studied in a French university for a semester, so I have lots of materials for us to work with.
About Michelle
I love learning languages in my spare time and practicing when I can. When I'm not looking a bit silly doing that, I'm usually reading, at a baseball game, hiking, or hanging out with friends. I keep active, making sure to run or climb a mountain when I can. However, it's equally as strong as my love for foods of all kinds.
I really look forward to getting to work with you and helping you with whatever I can!

CloseI've been teaching French for six years and my students have gone on to improve their grade substantially. Within the first few lessons, you'll get a better understanding of the material learned in class or if you are a new beginner, you will be able to read and speak basic French. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I would be thrilled to meet you!

I am originally from France. I really enjoy teaching French because kids challenge all the time, in a nice way. You've got to explain things all the time and that gives me a fresh perspective on things and keeps me questioning things myself. I enjoy taking my time to teach and improve the kids to learn the language while at the same time being very patient to explain deeply the material. It has been 3 years now that I teach french. I make sure that my students are comfortable and productive with the work we put on. I am also very fun and open to help them to speak up when they have difficulties with the pronunciation. Come learn french with me we will make the lessons fun and very productive :).
