About halfway through my law degree, I realized that I wanted to pursue painting more than anything else. I had initially considered going into art law, but then realized that essentially it's still law and that's not for me. I have been making a living off of my paintings for the last couple of years. I finished out the Juris Doctorate, despite knowing I wouldn't practice law halfway through. This was in part because I was on a full-merit scholarship as well as the fact that I don't like quit something once I've started. I am happy to speak with anyone debating law school or who is about to enter and needs advice about first year.
