I am passionate about teaching, and I have a wide variety of experiences as an educator, all of which have been incredibly rewarding for me. I've been a private language tutor for business professionals, university students, and secondary school students in Spain, Germany, Argentina, and the US. I've also taught English online using Skype, Google voice, and various other platforms with students in South Korea, Italy, and Austria. In addition to English teaching, I've also taught Computer Science and Philosophy to both native English speakers and EFL students in grades 4-12 as well as university students. One-to-one and small group English language tutoring has been my favorite teaching experience thus far, and I hope to connect with a diverse group of students through TakeLessons! One of my greatest strengths as a teacher is my commitment to making learning English fun by personalizing my teaching for each and every one of my students. I enjoy building customized lesson plans to suit the needs and learning styles of students with different goals, and I like to find ways to apply language learning to individual student interests. I am happy to offer a wide range of lesson types, including but not limited to: free speaking practice through informal conversation, grammar classes suited to individual levels and goals, business English or English for specific purposes including help writing and/or editing emails, resumes, etc., and skills-based lessons for English reading, writing, speaking, and listening comprehension.
