Mandarin Chinese with Yifu R.

Hi everyone, Greetings. My name is Yifu and I'm a native Mandarin speaker. I was born and raised in China for about 18 years before I came to US. I studied Computer Science in Stony Brook University of New York. Currently I'm living in Bellevue working on some contracted job. What I can offer to teach: Chinese, Cooking, Math Chinese: I have solid 1 to 1 private Chinese/English tutoring experience. I used to be a Chinese tutor in a public university in North Carolina for 1 year. I also did extensive English tutoring (in Chinese) when I was in China. I can teach a wide range of topic covering spoken language, grammar and writing. I not only know Chinese by itself but also the culture behind it. I also have some linguistic knowledge which will help student better understand the language during the learning process. In addition, I have 7 years of translator experience. I translate documents between Chinese and English (vice versa). I have also worked in a game company as a Chinese localization tester. Asian Cooking, My dad is a certified 3rd level chef in China and have passed me many skills. I have cooked my self for more than 6 years and know how to cook various dishes. I like to explore different cooking options and always make experiments. I have also learned Italian & Greek Cuisine during my exchange study in Italy. Math: Having been trained and battled under the fierce math campaign in China, pre-college algebra is literally a piece of cake. I can easily get 800/800 from a SAT math test.
